I removed the parent category of Category:Hoaxes. As similar as they may seem, the two categories are actually very different: one is about subjects that are encyclopedic because they're hoaxes; this one is about subjects that are unencyclopedic if indeed they are hoaxes. I would suggest that it's a violation of WP:ASR to have this category sitting in the article-space category Category:Hoaxes. -- Antaeus Feldspar 22:21, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship with Template:db-hoax

I propose that the {{db-hoax}} template imply the action of {{hoax}} and include the tagged article into this category. One editor's blatant hoax is another's suspected suspected: putting db-hoax pages here might help rescue pages which have been tagged in too much haste.
