Westinghouse Electric

[edit]

Want to confirm, about the establishment of Westinghouse Electric based in Essington, or according to the post office listing,Lester, Pa. I was approximatelythree years old when this company built the Westinghouse Village for their employees. My parents met and married at this plant. Westinghouse during the years of depression gave out wagon loads of potatoes, which we rode in a wagon and went to their dock to be a part of this distribution. Cannot find any information pertaining to this plant location and the day or date of its demise. It was also called the westinghouse plant in Lester? Do you have any documentation. My fathers name was Harry J. Boakes and he married /Clara Morris who was a secretary during the time when Westinghouse built the Village in Essington, Pa. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.112.133.234 (talk) 22:10, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Definition of "defunct"?

[edit]

Should companies that have been absorbed into other companies be on this list? PRRfan (talk) 13:52, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
