County government in the United States

[edit]

Color me profoundly puzzled by Gregbard's insistence that this category does not belong in Category:County government in the United States -- or any category that is a subcategory of that category. Aren't law enforcement agencies part of county government? --Orlady (talk) 18:44, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and I've reverted his edits back to the last one you did. Per the discussion at WP:WPUS, law enforcement in the United States is government civil service and is funded by governmental budget at the appropriate level. County law enforcement in the United States is paid out of the county budget. — Maile (talk) 22:05, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't dispute this. I had removed it for organizational purposes, and asked Orlady to refrain from editing in this area until I was done. She has refused to do so, and so we are engaged in dealing with issues that could have been resolved without the drama. Greg Bard (talk) 22:10, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
