Bryce Jay Underwood (born August 19, 2007) is an American high school football quarterback who is currently committed to play for the LSU Tigers.

Early life

Underwood was born on August 19, 2007, in Belleville, Michigan.[1] He attended Belleville High School in Belleville.[2] In Underwood's freshman season he led his team to the state title game where he completed 12 of his 21 passing attempts for 284 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing for 62 yards and a touchdown, helping Belleville to a win over Rochester Adams High School.[3] During Underwood's freshman season he threw for 2,888 yards and 39 touchdowns to just four interceptions, while also adding six scores on the ground.[4] For his performance on the season, Underwood was named the MaxPreps National Freshman of the year.[5][6] In his sophomore season, Underwood would once again lead his team to a State Championship as he was named the MaxPreps Player of the Year in the State of Michigan.[7][8] During his junior season, Underwood passed for 3,165 yards and 40 touchdowns to just two interceptions, while also rushing for 160 yards and seven touchdowns, after going on a 38 game winning streak throughout his career, Underwood fell to Southfield-Lathrup High School in the State Championship game.[9][10] For his performance in his junior season, Underwood was named the Michigan High School Football Player of the Year.[11] Heading into his senior season, Underwood was rated as the top quarterback and top overall recruit in the class of 2025.[12] Underwood also held offers from school such as LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Penn State and Michigan.[13] Ultimately, Underwood decided to commit to play college football for the LSU Tigers.[14][15]
