Following the Battle of the Sound, a naval engagement that took place during the conflict, Admiral Obdam of the Dutch forces expressed intentions to launch an attack on Swedish occupied island of Fynn. On the 30th of April (NS), a confrontation transpired in the Fermer Belt. The opposing fleets consisted of 23 Dutch ships and 3 Danish ships, which initiated an assault on the Swedish fleet comprising 24 ships. After a period of combat, the Swedish ships eventually executed a withdrawal towards the northeastern direction, reaching the area of Landskorna.[2]
