Ahilya Bamroo (born in April 2002) is a model, actor, voiceover artist and digital creator.[1]
Early life
[edit]Ahilya was born in Mumbai. Growing up in Auroville, Ahilya was exposed to a diverse blend of cultures and languages. She attended a French-medium school, becoming fluent in French, English, Bengali, and Hindi. This multilingual upbringing fostered her fascination with accents and dialects, elements that would later become central to her digital content.[2][3] She is a social media content creator, is known for her ability to mimic various accents, play the guitar and perform songs.[4]
Career
[edit]Ahilya began her journey as a digital creator by sharing short-form videos and reels on Instagram, where she showcased her talent for mimicking various accents and her musical abilities. Her content, often infused with humor and cultural observations, resonated with a wide audience, leading to a substantial following on the platform.
In 2024, Ahilya made her acting debut in Shoojit Sircar's film I Want to Talk [5], portraying the role of Reya, the daughter of the protagonist played by Abhishek Bachchan. The film explores the life of Arjun, a man confronting his mortality and seeking to mend relationships. Ahilya's performance was well-received, marking a significant milestone in her burgeoning acting career.[6] [7]
