Ya'la ibn Murrah al-Thaqafi was a Companion of the Prophet Muhmmad who embraced Islam and witnessed the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah.[1] He pledged allegiance during the Pledge of Ridwan and participated in the battles of Khaybar, the Conquest of Mecca, and the Battle of Ta'if. Ya'la ibn Murrah accompanied Ali ibn Abi Talib and resided in Kufa, though some accounts suggest he lived in Basra. He narrated hadiths through his son Abdullah, Abdullah ibn Hafs, Sa'id ibn Abi Rashid, and others.
