Here's hoping you'll be back ...

[edit]

You're a very valuable Wikipedian, Yintan. I hope you'll be back. Softlavender (talk) 07:26, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Softlavender, but I'm not coming back. Cheers. Yintan  08:19, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for all your help!

[edit]

Dear Yintan,
A few days ago, I reached the anniversary of my first decade as a Wikipedia editor. Seeing as I don’t have many decades left to enjoy, this milestone seemed important to me, and was made all the more meaningful by the undeniable fact that I would not have developed so well as an editor here if I hadn’t had the privilege of being mentored by you in those early days. In your usual way, you didn’t do much more than simply crystallise what’s important for this project: honesty, generosity of effort and spirit, respect for the dignity of others, and adherence to guidelines designed to maximise the value of this project. As I come here to your user page again after such a long time since my last visit, I now find that you have decided to retire. We all need a break from time to time and you’ve done this before. Please take your time, knowing you can always come back refreshed and ready to contribute again and help us with the guidance of your insights; I look forward to that day already, and just want to express my gratitude to you for being there when I needed to be pointed in the right direction; my last decade as a Wikipedian has been a most rewarding joy and I hope still to be here when you return. Until then, please keep well, happy and joyful.
Your friend;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 20:38, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to have been helpful, Patrick, but this time it's final. I won't come back. Stay well, Yintan  19:30, 23 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
