Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Vivek Ray. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. @Muhandes: Sorry for the late reply. I am just a student of IIM Bodh Gaya presently studying there. I don't receive any compensation to write about it. I just want to expand the article with relevant information. So, can I edit the article if I have reliable references and sources? Thank You Vivek Ray (talk) 20:55, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
Hi Vivek Ray. As a student you obviously have a conflict of interest. The text I linked above discusses how such a conflict should be managed. Specifically, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template). --Muhandes (talk) 13:03, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
@Muhandes: I have proposed some changes on Talk:Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya. Please make the requested additions. Thank You Vivek Ray (talk) 16:40, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
Cool, I appreciate it. --Muhandes (talk) 17:07, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Vivek Ray! Having an article declined at Articles for Creation can be disappointing. If you are wondering why your article submission was declined, please post a question at the Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there! EROS message 09:10, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

When reviewing submissions, we run a copyright scan which matches your submission with the references you used. And it grieves me to say that the scan picked up a 21.3% confidence of similarity with the stated website on the declination banner of your submission. And after I thoroughly check through, some words cannot be rephrased like the singer's name. So I think I'll pass on the copyvio. My apologies. BTW, I saw that your article sourced Youtube as a source. User generated content is not really encouraged to be cited. Cheers and happy editing. EROS message 11:16, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

@Heliosxeros: thanks for clearing that. And about the Youtube citation, it's a temporary one. I will change it once they update it on their official website. However, the video referenced by me has been uploaded through Radio Mirchi's official/verified channel. Also, I have resubmitted my draft. So, if you can, please review it. I will be removing that citation and information as of now. Thanks once again. Vivek Ray (talk) 16:45, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

Project Tiger Writing Contest

In 2017 – 2018, the Wikimedia Foundation and Google working in close coordination with the Centre for Internet and Society (CIS), Wikimedia India Chapter (WMIN) and user groups from India, are piloting a program encouraging Wikipedia communities to create locally relevant and high-quality content in Indian languages. This program will (a) support active and experienced Wikipedia editors through the donation of laptops and stipends for internet access and (b) sponsor a language-based contest that aims to address existing Wikipedia content gaps.

Phase (a) has been completed, during which active contributors were awarded laptops and internet stipends. Phase (b) will be a contest in which editors will come together and develop a writing contest focused on content gaps. Each month three individual prizes will be awarded to each community based on their contribution for the month. The prizes worth 3,000 INR, 2000 INR, and 1,000 INR, will be awarded to the top contributors for each month. The contest started at March 1, 2018, 0:00, and will end at May 31, 2018, 23:59 (IST). Unsourced commentary

Hi Vivek, re: this edit, per MOS:FILM, Wikipedia editors should not be acting as critical response aggregators. If we want to summarise the overall critical response to a film, we must provide a source that summarises the overall critical response to a film. Part of the problem is that if we cherrypick reviews and then summarise those reviews, we are actively inserting our personal biases into an article. If I like a film, I might be more likely to choose positive reviews, whether I'm doing it on purpose or not. And if we go to an article that already has reviews, and then try to summarise that selection, we might be enforcing someone else's selection bias. This is why we should only quote reliable sources.

Additionally, phrasing like "mixed to positive", "positive to mixed", "mixed to negative", etc. phrasing is widely considered meaningless by multiple WikiProjects. "Mixed" already means "positive and negative", so "positive to mixed" would mean "positive to positive and negative". Please avoid such phrasing. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 12:34, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: Thank you for that information. It will help me in my future edits. Though, I would like to clarify that I didn't write anything myself. I was just copying it from the source page while merging as is mentioned in WP:MERGETEXT. You can find the original text here in the second paragraph. It felt absurd to me but I thought to let it be as it has survived on the source page. But thank you for making it concise. Vivek Ray (talk) 12:56, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
Ahhhh... I should have read your edit summary where you clearly explain that the content is being merged... Sorry about that. Please disregard the above. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 12:59, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Just a quick question. In the 'Awards and nominations' section of any film/person, which awards are worth mentioning? Referring to Jacqueline Fernandez#Awards and nominations, most of the awards are unheard of - at least by me! This user is adding some awards which are unheard of or not much is available on Google. He/she is providing references but those are not notable I guess. Like for example this edit, the reference is some kind of survey form or something. I went through the discussion page of Wikipedia:WikiProject Film/Indian cinema task force and found this and this quite relevant to my situation, but not many users had replied on these threads to make a proper discussion. So, I need some help here. Thanks a lot Vivek Ray (talk) 13:19, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
Awards are problematic. I think people create them as money-making ventures, and I'm sure that in some cases they're in cahoots wtih marketing groups to give their actor clients extra promotional boosts. As a general unwritten rule, if an award doesn't have an article at Wikipedia, it's probably not worth mentioning. This isn't a random thing I'm making up. If you look at List of child actors from Canada, you'll notice that most of the kids listed have articles. This is because we don't want people using Wikipedia as a directory, and you can imagine that every grandmother in Canada would love to add the names of their actor grandkids. Generally speaking, if an entry doesn't have an article, then notability has not been properly established for it. If you look at this discussion, while it focuses more on award article creation, you can see some disdain, ex: "I'd suggest editors watch List of accolades received by Carol (film) for indiscriminate entries." Also some stuff here [1]. @Betty Logan: Do you have anything to add here? How would you decide whether or not to keep an award in an article like this? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:44, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
Per WP:FILMCRITICLIST: Awards included in lists should have a Wikipedia article to demonstrate notability. Because of the proliferation of film festivals and "award mills", festival awards should be added with discretion, with inclusion subject to consensus. Awards bestowed by web-only entities are not included. I haven't looked through the list to see which ones meet the criteria but it's fairly straightforward. Betty Logan (talk) 20:01, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb:, @Betty Logan: Thanks a lot for your answers. They are really beneficial! Vivek Ray (talk) 05:13, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Brilliant. Love Betty Logan! Thanks Ms. B! Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:40, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

My edit

Hello Sir, I would like to inform you that the rating column that I had added in the bollywood films of 2018 was about the ratings of all the movies. I was editing it and in the first phase itself, it was removed. I didn't understood the reason. Can you please explain it to me? IAmPushpak (talk) 06:18, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

@IAmPushpak: Hi, you replaced the director cell with rating and changed the entry for 1921. Rest of the entries were about directors only. You can see your final change here. Also, I am not sure if ratings are supposed to be displayed on the 'List of films' article. I haven't seen it yet. If you want to add rating of any film, you can do it on their respective article page by providing proper references. You can read about referencing over here. Additionally, IMDb is not considered a source. You might want to read WP:CITEIMDB, before citing IMDb. If there is any more questions, feel free to connect. Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 06:31, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

My edit

Yes Sir since I am new here, I was just checking if it works properly. So I had edited just one column and was planning to complete the rest by today.

And one more thing, I thought rating would be a good option to have while searching for the recent movies. Anyways, if you think that it is not required then no problem. IAmPushpak (talk) 06:35, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

@IAmPushpak: If you would like to experiment, please use the wikipedia:Sandbox or your own sandbox. Using your own sandbox will preserve it from getting removed. Also, it's not about what I think or not think! If you feel there should be a rating column, you can add them after having a discussion and reaching to consensus over here or here, though I would tell you to go for the second link. But I would suggest before doing any of that, participate in Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Adventure as it will help you to know how to edit and do other things on Wikipedia. Also, I would be posting a welcome message on your talk page. I ask you to read through the links and policies if you want to stay and contribute on Wikipedia without getting blocked by someone.
And, no need to create a new section every time. You can reply to that old section by placing a Template:Reply to before your message. Feel free to reach me again! Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 07:00, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Your articles

I see that you've created some Mirchi Music Awards articles. All of them have only primary sources, from organisation's own website. You remove native names from articles talking about Indic script this Indic script that but your own articles are improperly sourced. I don't think anyone of them will survive an AfD. Add enough reliable sources from news website, if you don't I'll slap AfD templates on them (jk I'll just add the sources myself if you don't). TryKid (talk) 18:36, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

@TryKid: Hi, first of all those articles that you mentioned do not have "only primary sources from organisation's own website". There were 1-3 independent news articles referenced. I have added some more. Please, go through them and let me know if they can be improved, or help me by improving them! Actually, was thinking to add them since past few days but was just procrastinating! Thank you for threatening me out of my procrastination phase! It's always helpful to get rid of that monkey! LOL
Also, it's a bit confusing. I have seen various articles about awards citing the organisation's own website. Some of them are even Featured List! Like for example: National Film Award for Best Actress, National Film Award for Best Actor, 65th National Film Awards (not FL). There are more National Film Awards and Filmfare Awards articles with citations of their own websites for the list of nominees/winners/jury/etc. There are articles related to Oscars and Golden Globe which cite mostly (or sometimes, only) their own webpages and are Featured Lists. (I am not comparing MMA with these prestigious awards BTW!) This led me to assume that awards websites can be cited for the list of nominees/winners/jury. So, please help me by clarifying.
Going back to the articles created by me, they were reviewed and approved by the 'new page reviewer' group and that led me to believe that my citations are OK. And, since you are going to have a look at them, can you please assess the pages for quality? I believe the articles will come under WP:FILM, WP:INDIA and WP:PRIZE.
Regarding the Indic script thing, I am not against it or for it. I am totally neutral about it. I was just removing them because the MOS says they should not be present. If you want to add back anything that I have deleted, you can do so giving your reasons in the edit summary. I will not remove it again. But yeah, do tell me about any such re-addition so that I can remove those pages from my AWB list.
BTW, how did you come to know about my AWB truck? Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 05:07, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Vivek Ray,
Primary Sources:
Primary sources can be used for like uncontroversial claims like who started the award, when it started, who was the organizer. But, you've to include non-primary sources to establish notability. 5-6 news articles from websites like Times of India or The Hindu really help. You are right, primary sources can be cited for nominee list or things like that, just like the TV show itself is the source for credits, plots character list etc. But, like I said, reliable sources to establish notability.
NPR and Review:
Your articles look really good, so maybe that's why they weren't touched by New Page Reviewers. I don't review articles for quality, as I'm not part of those WikiProjects and I don't believe that I'm competent enough to 'review' articles. You can add WikiProject templates on them, how to do it is written on every wikiproject page, but I personally believe that WikiProject aren't very helpful, besides a list of FA articles of that subject so that I can model my articles after them.
Indic:
Yeah you aren't alone in this Indic script thing many people do it and blindly follow rules like this. Yeah rules are good they maintain quality, MOS is good guide for making articles look good and shiny, but remember Wikipedia rule 0: If a rule stops your from improving Wikipedia, then ignore that rule. Or something like that, but you got the idea I think. I not the best editor here so everything I say may be wrong but you your own judgement. AWB truck I know because I regularly view some user's contributions page, just to see what people are up to and if any new drama is brewing. Cyphoidbomb has best contributions, always tagging new users with warnings. That's a very good way to meet new people. Bye and Thanks.
TryKid (talk) 06:34, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
@TryKid: Yup! That's why I stopped removing native languages as of now. Need to ask around about it and know/learn more. Will just be doing general fixes/clean up with AWB for the time being. And thank you for your comments! Vivek Ray (talk) 06:45, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Vivek Ray Talk:Naagin (TV series) has a discussion on it (last one on the page, titled No Indic Script). TryKid (talk) 08:15, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
@TryKid: Ah, thanks for sharing this link! Learnt a bit more about how WP works. And, I request you to share some more of such helpful discussions whenever you get time and not busy with your stuff. Thanks again Vivek Ray (talk) 08:43, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Thanks For Information!

Can you please tell me that why edits is can't save I really not giving information by seeing any Fan made site/or seeing any Web site I just see the information from (Bollywood Hungama) and News Channel. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samarveer (Saps) (talkcontribs) 08:55, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

@Samarveer (Saps): You are adding budget/gross figures without providing a source or reference. If you have read it on Bollywood Hungama or any News Channel, just copy-paste the webpage link in between ref tags. Like, for example, <ref>http://www.bollywoodhungama.com/news/box-office-special-features/box-office-worldwide-collections-day-wise-break-raazi</ref>. Also, please read WP:REFSTART to learn more about referencing. But, before doing any more edits, I would suggest you to complete WP:ADVENTURE as it helps to understand how to contribute on Wikipedia. And don't forget to sign your messages with ~~~~ Feel free to reach back to me. Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 09:07, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

WELCOME

Hey there! Welcome Vivek Ray. As I have edited the page of Kaalakaandi again and I have reduced the Plot to 700 words. Welcome again! Nairnithin (talk) 17:05, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

@Nairnithin: I saw that. Cheers! Also, please try to avoid linking to disambiguation pages like you did for 'FIR' or here, in your above message, with 'Plot'. I have made some changes on Kaalakaandi after your edit. Please have a look. To identify disambiguation pages easily, you can tick the option about turning them orange in your preference page (under 'Appearance' section). Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 17:14, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Bepannah

Hey Vivek Well thanks for your appreciation regarding Bepannah edit of mine. And I will try to edit the plot but after some time. Because it's the thriller let the mystery be solve. And I will try to not to do episodic edition but episodic edition help me to do easily edition to plot. But I will try to act on your advice Mannat 1 (talk) 15:59, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
@Mannat 1: Don't make the plot more than 500 words. Just try to summarize the core storyline of the show. You can read MOS:TVPLOT to know more about it. Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 16:31, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

No Zoya and Aditya didn't get married. They pretended but that also didn't completed. More than half rituals were uncomplete. So no Mannat 1 (talk) 11:33, 1 June 2018 (UTC)

YouTube

Hi Vivek, re: this edit summary, just a note that while YouTube itself isn't a reliable source, if an otherwise reliable source has a video on YouTube, we can use that as a reference, so long as we're pointing to a verified channel (We don't want to point to potential copyright violations).

I have no opinions about Lehren TV (I've never personally heard of them) I just wanted to address the generalisation about YouTube. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:25, 1 June 2018 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: Thank you for this information. Even I was wondering the same thing that YouTube channel of RS can be considered reliable. But, then was not sure as my draft was declined because I had cited YouTube (though the channel was reliable!). Anyways, I don't know much about Lehren TV either, but I watched the video which was referenced and found that most of the supporting cast details are incorrect or speculation. Thanks again! Vivek Ray (talk) 14:33, 1 June 2018 (UTC)

Can you name few more? Aa015 (talk) 18:05, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

@Aa015: WP:ICTFFAQ has a list of reliable sources acceptable for Indian films. Some of them can be used for other projects/purpose too, but you will have to be careful about it. Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 18:44, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

Thanks Vivek, can I also know the reliable sources for actors, director, author or public figures? Aa015 (talk) 19:23, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

@Aa015: Sorry I didn't understand your question. What exactly do you want to know? Vivek Ray (talk) 19:28, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

When we create and article for actors, directors, authors or any other public figures, what the the reliable sources which wikipedia accepts as authentic sources of information. As the what are the Digital news portals like TOI OR The Hindu, etc. Aa015 (talk) 20:09, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Vivek Ray, I noticed your name on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Awards and was wondering if you could double check on Mikro (author). ...Kühn was awarded the Hertzog Prize for Prose in 1936 for Toiings and Pelgrims.... Thank you for your time. Lotje (talk) 04:12, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

Also on the W.A. Hofmeyr Prize in 1956 for Die Porseleinkat. Lotje (talk) 04:20, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
@Lotje: I couldn't find much about the awards in any reliable sources. It seems, the content of the article is based on one of the external links. The vice versa is also possible. Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 07:31, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
Okay, it was worth trying. Thank you Vivek Ray. Lotje (talk) 07:32, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

Bepannah

Hi Vivek, is it necessary to write episodic updates to the Plot section? It is kind of meaningless. Csgir (talk) 04:44, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

@Csgir: No, not at all! The 'Plot' section for a TV series should be within 500 words. If someone starts writing episode-wise update, the length will run over the word limit. To know more about how to write a plot for a TV series, you can read MOS:TVPLOT. It is really helpful.
Regarding Bepannah, I have put a 'long plot' template and a comment that the plot should be within 500 words. But they are ignored by the users who update it every night after the show airs. Thanks to User:Nusrat21's copyediting/trimming the plot is not ridiculously big!
Additionally, a separate sub-section of '6 Months Later' looks really absurd. It can be written in prose like "After six months, Zoya is..." or any other way which is more pleasant to read. I have changed it twice but some IP added back the sub-section heading! What do you think about it? Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 06:53, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
Exactly, the "6 months later" section seems like a episodic update done right after the show airs every night. I don't mind the "6 Months Later" sub-section to denote a leap. Will trim that section in some time.Csgir (talk) 09:23, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
Copyediting done. Have a look! Csgir (talk) 09:52, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
@Csgir: Thanks a lot! Also, I request you to do the necessary copyediting/trimming from time to time. Else, it will become too large. Thanks again Vivek Ray (talk) 15:44, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Paltan

Plzz creat paltan movie page. The trailer of movie has released now. Sush150 (talk) 15:25, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

@Sush150: There is already a page for Paltan (film) but currently it redirects to J. P. Dutta. I have asked for the older version to be restored. You can edit it once it is done. Thanks. Vivek Ray (talk) 15:40, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Thanks a lot... Sush150 (talk) 07:24, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

Manmarziyaan

Hi I'm Sush150 My dear friend I made changes after watching the official trailer of movie.so not need for provid reliable source. These changes are real and match the information of movie. I am not made fake changes. Sush150 (talk) 07:10, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

@Sush150: Other readers have not watched the trailer. So I request you to cite a reliable source for your information. In case it is from trailer, just cite the link of the official trailer. Later, you can replace it with a reliable news article. Also you added runtime for Gold (2018 film). What was the source for that? The film has not released yet and so needs a citation. Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 07:28, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

T series

Hi Vivek, I saw that you fixed up the dangling disambiguation links into T series in no time (while I was doing it manually ;-). I tried to trick a bot into fixing up another bunch of them, but it seems to be such an easy job for you that we might not need to wait for the bot to come around: If you have fun and time, please have a look at:

All incoming links to T-Series should be piped to point to Super Cassettes Industries T-Series.

Thanks. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 11:35, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

@Matthiaspaul: I was using DisamAssist to repair the links. But after the double-redirect thing, it is not detecting any incoming links at T series. Maybe redirecting T-Series back to the disambiguation page T series might do the trick as DisamAssist cannot be used at T-Series or T-Series (company). Can you restore the previous version where you redirected T-Series to the disamb page? Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 12:04, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
I see. I have restored the old link now. The tool should now see lots of incoming links to be disambiguated. Since they all pointed to the same company page originally, they don't need to be checked individually. Thanks. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 12:19, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
@Matthiaspaul: Hi, all the incoming links from the Article namespace have been disambiguated. I am going to remove the maintenance tag. Thanks! Vivek Ray (talk) 18:15, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
Thank you, Vivek! :-) (There's one dangling transclusion into T-Series - right now, I can't find the source for it, do you?)
--Matthiaspaul (talk) 18:21, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
@Matthiaspaul: Sorry, couldn't find it. You may ask R'n'B for help. Vivek Ray (talk) 18:42, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
@Vivek Ray: Can you move the page Super Cassettes Industries T-Series to T-Series (company) or similar as that would be inline with the naming conventions. The current page title isn't the correct name of the company nor is it known as such. Thanks. Gotitbro (talk) 05:52, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
@Gotitbro: Sorry, I don't have moving rights. You can ask Matthiaspaul to do the same. Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 06:01, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
@Matthiaspaul: Can you see if the title can be fixed? Thanks. Gotitbro (talk) 06:11, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
Done. :-) --Matthiaspaul (talk) 08:26, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
@Matthiaspaul: Thanks. I see the links still point to Super Cassettes Industries T-Series, can they be replaced with the T-Series (company)? Gotitbro (talk) 03:00, 17 August 2018 (UTC)

Reg : Bepannah Screenplay credits

Hi Vivek,

This is regarding the Bepannah article. I added in the name of the editor based on the data provided in the episodic credits. Here is a screenshot - the correct screenplay and dialogue writers must be Ishita Moitra and Koyal Chaudari ( Koyal's name is missing from the list). The text is in hindi though. Hope this helps. http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/File:Bepannah_writers_screnshot.png Ujsr (talk) 03:30, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

@Ujsr: Yes, noted. Thank you. Vivek Ray (talk) 06:02, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

Request for help/review

Hi. Since you're part of WikiProject Awards, I'm reaching out to you for review and/or advice on improving the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize article. I've also posted to the Project's talk-page and a couple other editors as well. Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Litjade (talk) 11:19, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

@Litjade: Hi, I skimmed through the article and it looks really good. You should go ahead and ask for peer review for more eyeballs/opinions. Thanks! Vivek Ray (talk) 11:37, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
That's good news. Thank you! Just to confirm, do you mean I should follow the peer-review request instructions at WP:PRG? Litjade (talk) 12:02, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
Yes. You can also go through WP:FAC and WP:GAI. Thanks. Vivek Ray (talk) 12:15, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice. (Glad I asked!) I followed WP:GAI and placed the "start review" template on Talk:2018 Nobel Peace Prize. —Litjade (talk) 17:25, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
@Litjade: Oops, I see I didn't "ping" you in my last message! Sorry for messing up. Anyways, I have changed the article to B-class as I think it satisfies the criteria easily. Vivek Ray (talk) 17:51, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
A thousand thanks! (Is it a faux pas not to ping you on your own talk-page? My apologies, if so.) I'll rest my eyes while, hopefully, fresher eyes lead to new ideas for improving the article. Thanks again. —Litjade (talk) 18:49, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Mumbai Xpress (film) (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Changing redirects

I know you meant well, but changing a redirect so that it targets another redirect was not a good idea.

For example, you changed Kāshi from #REDIRECT [[Kashi]] to #REDIRECT [[Kashi (disambiguation)|Kashi]]. But Kashi (disambiguation) was a redirect to Kashi, so you created a double-redirect. I did not bother to revert your edit because I knew that there is a bot that fixes these, and it has. Apparently you did several double-redirects on 26 June.-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:17, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
