On flagging POV or sourcing issues

With regard to your edit at [1], I think you're quite right that there are some serious neutrality issues. That said, I would recommend that you use templates like {{cn}}, {{POV}}, and {{POV statement}} to flag this kind of issue rather than adding speculation about whether the editor who added the content is Russian in ref tags. This is because we try to maintain a clear delineation between encyclopedic content and maintenance templates; also, there could be reasons for non-neutral editing that are not rooted in nationality.

I went ahead and added a template to flag the issue. If you're interested, rewriting the lead of that article to be more neutral yourself might be enjoyable (and useful). CharredShorthand.talk; 02:03, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Looking through the edit history, the non-neutral content was added quite recently and is not all-pervasive on the page, so I simply reverted it. CharredShorthand.talk; 02:06, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
