Wat Paknam Japan

[edit]

Hello, I am a Japanese Wikipedian and the lead author of article ワットパクナム日本別院 in Japanese. This article is being translated into English at User:狄の用務員/Wat Paknam Japan, and although it is a mess, I have finished translating it to the best of my ability. Currently this article needs corrections and additions by someone who can write natural English and has knowledge of Thai Buddhism. I would like to feed back the corrections and additions to the English version to the Japanese version to enhance the Japanese version of the article. I know you have made a great contribution to the article Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen and I asked you before submitting a revision request to the community. I would appreciate your consideration of the additions.

now the article is moved to Draft:Wat_Paknam_Japan.--狄の用務員 (talk) 13:42, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@狄の用務員:, my first impression is that it's a well-sourced, well-done and substantial article. I will see what I can do to work on it a bit. What level of article are you aiming for? B, C or GA?--Farang Rak Tham (Talk) 21:04, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. I am not sure about the leveling of the English version of WIKIPEDIA, but my first hope is that it will be written in natural English with no mistakes in the use of Buddhist terms. It would be more desirable if the volume of articles grows, but I think the size as it is is fine as long as the articles are accurate.
I am reading the Thai text through machine translation, so I have my doubts about its accuracy. In particular, I would like to ask you to check the consistency with the source, especially with regard to the "history" paragraph. Also, I think it would be possible to make some additions to the current sources alone, so if there is any information that seems important, I would appreciate it if you could add it to the article.
Regarding the rarity of snowfall in Thailand, it is obvious from the map, but it would be nice to have a scientific source for the snowfall record if you could find one.
The embassy website says that there are 5 people stationed there and the paper also mentioned that there are 5 people. I personally think this is an important number in the watershed of whether they can produce new monks or not, but I could not find a source on this for me. If you have a professional literature or website source for the source, I would appreciate your adding it.
The current article is only a draft and can be freely reorganized if necessary. For example, the name of the article could be WATPAKNAM YIPUN as well as WATPAKNAM JAPAN, and increasing or decreasing paragraphs is not a problem.
I appreciate your consideration. 狄の用務員 (talk) 21:38, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
狄の用務員 Do you still need an editor? I think I can ask someone.--Farang Rak Tham (Talk) 09:21, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Farang Rak Tham Hello. I am still wishing that the article will be improved. If there is any possibility, I would appreciate it if you could ask.
Also, if it does not seem possible, I would appreciate it if you could let me know. In that case, I will submit the article and wait for someone else to revise it. The current article is not the best, but i think it probably meets the minimum quality standards.
Thank you. 狄の用務員 (talk) 18:18, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I have decided to submit the article after all. Thank you for your past contribution. Thank you very much.--狄の用務員 (talk) 13:43, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@狄の用務員 I understand. Sorry i couldn't be more of help.--~~ Farang Rak Tham (Talk) 13:32, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
