Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sport en France, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Android. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Grizzlys Catalans moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Grizzlys Catalans, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Riley (brand) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Welcome to Sudden Death Original Motion Picture Soundtrack cover.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Welcome to Sudden Death Original Motion Picture Soundtrack cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you.

Notice

The article The Last Kumite has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:TOOSOON, should be deleted or moved to DRAFT until release.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Films

[edit]

For future reference, if you plan to continue creating or changing categories on articles about films, we do not have any scheme of "YYYY Country films" for a film to be filed in — we only categorize films by the intersection of country with decade, not individual year. For example, Category:1990s Canadian films is a thing that exists, while Category:1995 Canadian films and Category:1996 Canadian films (both of which you've tried to use in the past couple of days) do not exist. (And no, this isn't a uniquely Canadian isue, either: no country has its own individual tree of "YYYY Country films" at all, and only "Decade" categories exist anywhere.) But you can't leave articles filed in categories that don't exist, so you need to use the decade categories rather than a year tree that we don't have. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 20:22, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for that. I will do my best to keep it in mind. Redacwiki (talk) 20:25, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Also, I should mention that while many of the larger countries (Canada, United States, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Australia, etc.) do have decade categories, not all countries even have those at all yet — any country with enough films to warrant it can have such a thing, but editors haven't always gotten around to actually creating that scheme yet in some countries. So even when it comes to decade categories, it's necessary to check whether one actually exists or not rather than just assuming that it always does. I don't know how often you'll actually run into that, since you seem to be interested primarily in the films of one specific director who worked in Canada and the United States (which do both already have decade-film categories) right now, but just be aware of it if you do work on films from other countries in the future. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 21:33, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:44, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
