Pearl Jam/Metallica album sales

Well i was never thinking of US domestic sales, rather then worldwide sales. The quote says "the most popular American rock & roll band of the '90s" not "the most popular American rock & roll band of the '90s' in the US". And you dont give any source for what you wrote in my talk page, all seems very far fetched, considering that RIAA has The Black Album on 14 million and Ten on 12 million, so from 1999 to today Black Album has sold 5 million and Pearl Jam barley 1 million? It seems likley that Metallica sold a clear majority of their albums in the 1990's considering they didnt hit the mainstream until then, and Metallica has an staggering lead in sales (30 vs 58). And by the way, read WP:NOR. You cant use this as an source. So unless you have a reliable source that clearly states that Pearl Jam sold most records during the 1990s, it ain't going to cut it. I appreciate and respect your work, concern and the fact that you can have a civil discussion about something (Not that ordinary at Wikipedia these days imo). And i think your absolutely right about it being very subjective and not just pure numbers. I would be fine with it if the article pointed out that it was an music journalist making the statement. I can also see how it's can go against WP:worldwide view. But im fine with an eventual and mutual agreement on something that all are contempt with. Proposed Merger

I have proposed that the article Latter-day Saint is merged with the Latter Day Saint article to avoid confusion. My points for this merger are as follows:

1. Having two articles titled Latter Day Saint, albeit with slight grammatical variance is very confusing to the average user, and one who may be looking up information. Yes, they mean different things, but the Latter Day Saint article covers the different uses and list denominations within the movement.
2. The first paragraph of the Latter-day Saint article contains information on the reasons for this different spelling. These reasons are adequately covered in the other article under Uses of the Term and in the article on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
3. The second paragraph contains uncited statistics and vague membership and growth statements that are properly covered in the article Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with references.
4. The article therefore contains no unique information, as I've covered in my last two points.
5. The Latter-day Saint article should properly be linked to a disambiguation page where the user can select from numerous articles including Latter Day Saint, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Latter Day Saint movement and possibly Mormon to avoid potential confusion and duplication of information.
6. This is a common link page from other articles because of this confusion. Those articles should properly be directed to the page Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve.
