Thanks for creating, on a lighter note, I hope you see now that I’m not a member of a cabal or shadow government targeting you. Once again, thanks for creating.

Since, the others are no longer enforcing the consensus?
There was indeed an RFC on the matter. However only 3 or 4 editors participated in it. Mind you, after arm twisting me to accept the format they wanted, they've since have not pushed for the consensus to be upheld. So, perhaps you're doing me a favour with your bull-headed approach, by enforcing my 'personal' preferred style. GoodDay (talk) 17:35, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- GoodDay, As usual, I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about. Feel free to find and link this RFC, and I will be more likely to drop the matter. I maintain, however, that your fixation with uniformity is not my concern. KidAd • SPEAK 18:43, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Why bother looking for it. I already had enough enjoyment with you, months ago, over the Biden cabinet nominee infoboxes. As I said, the others haven't been pushing their desired format, so why should I go to bat for them anymore. GoodDay (talk) 18:47, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- PS - FWIW - @Muboshgu: & @Corkythehornetfan: were at that RFC, concerning where to place Acting, Elect, Designate, etc in the infoboxes of office holders/soon to be office holders. Maybe they remember where & when it was held. GoodDay (talk) 19:50, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Here's the RFC-in-question. -- GoodDay (talk) 20:08, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Plainfield
I doubt there's any policy requiring mentioning the United States in town articles. I'm done reverting you, though. Someone else, probably from England or Australia, will probably come along in a few years and put it back. Have fun, --Ken Gallager (talk) 19:31, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Ken Gallager, glad you've decided to drop it. Have a little faith in our readers to know the difference between Plainfield, New Hampshire and Plainfield, New Hampshire, Zimbabwe. They just might surprise you. KidAd • SPEAK 20:01, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
Senators' captions
Hello, why have have you been removing the image captions for various senators with the explanation "no, this is [x senator]"? What did you mean by that and why are you doing this? -Mad Mismagius (talk) 00:24, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- Mad Mismagius, Captions that include "Official portrait, year" are misleading and unnecessary. Per MOS:CAPLENGTH,
Infoboxes for things that change over time can mention the year of the image briefly, e.g. "Cosby in 2010" Bill Cosby
. Since there is no sitting member of the U.S. senate with the legal name "Official Portrait," adding this clunky nonsense to every infobox is unproductive. KidAd • SPEAK 01:07, 23 April 2021 (UTC)- Do you have any backup for this precedent? If this were to be followed, this caption would have to removed from every senator, the nine most recent presidents, and the ten most recent supreme court justices. Sounds to me like you're proposing a big claim without any evidence. -Mad Mismagius (talk) 01:13, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- "
If this were to be followed, this caption would have to removed from every senator, the nine most recent presidents, and the ten most recent supreme court justices
" is wrong and just a variation of the weak WP:OTHERSTUFF argument. Articles are evaluated individually. KidAd • SPEAK 01:17, 23 April 2021 (UTC)- Fair enough. But I would still like to know: has there been a precedent against the "official portrait" caption, or is this something you decided yourself? I believe it's a valid question for me to ask, giving the sweeping effect it would have on senators' articles. -Mad Mismagius (talk) 01:22, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- As I said, because there is no member of the U.S. Senator named "Official Portrait," removing this odd caption does not require me to re-write any policies. It is also important to note that, if you were hell-bent on including these caption,
The onus to achieve consensus for inclusion is on those seeking to include disputed content
(per WP:ONUS).- I am hell-bent on including the captions, as it turns out, so I'll be working on this in the future. Thanks for taking the time to talk to me, I appreciate it. -Mad Mismagius (talk) 01:31, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- Certainly. I would be happy to reiterate my position in any future discussions. KidAd • SPEAK 01:33, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

You took it out of Feinstein's page though the image is from 2004 and the caption should say so. If you don't like "Official portrait" in a caption, which I agree with, change it to "Feinstein in 2004" instead of deleting it. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:11, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
AfC for Vaush
I recently created a draft for an article on Vaush. However, upon seeing that an article on him was recently deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vaush, I decided to put the article through the AfC process instead of moving it straight to mainspace. If you have any comments feel free to discuss the draft page at its talk page Draft talk:Vaush. Thanks. Alduin2000 (talk) 20:29, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
No sources in those article call Ariel Henry or Claude Joseph the acting President. There must be a source specifically calling them that. Haitian constitution doesn't grant the title of President to Prime Ministers if a President is deposed. LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk) 02:54, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
- LéKashmiriSocialiste, Ariel Henry is referred to as "acting president" by The Nation, Forbes, and Global Americans. And that was just from a minute of Googling. KidAd • SPEAK 04:36, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
- I see, thank you. But I didn't find it after a minute of Googling. I guess it's mostly because I didn't know how to bring up exact search results by using quotation marks. Anyway, please always add such sources in the article for it to be easier for inexperienced people. LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk) 21:34, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
I say just let it ride--the race hasn't really started yet. Drmies (talk) 03:10, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
- Drmies, agreed. I redirected Holly McCormack to 2022 United States House of Representatives elections, which I should've done at the beginning. Not sure why I thought it was worth draftification so early on but c'est la vie. KidAd • SPEAK 03:28, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
- Haha I meant the opposite--as in, "keep it". Sorry, I was totally unclear--I think it was late and I was sleepy (I couldn't even finish one episode of Diriliş: Ertuğrul). I think it was worth keeping, which is why I added to it. But no worries; when the time comes I can just revive it, or you can just let me know. Thanks, and sorry for being unclear. Thanks KidAd!
Appreciate your help on shaping an impartial narrative. Please help advise on the best way to recommend changes to the @Zach Nunn page, there are several factual errors. I tried to update all with links from original sources.
Value the COI feedback — for clarity, I worked with Zach in the military previously, but we are professional acquaintances.
I intended to make everything updated based on factual, and well cited source docs including legislative sources, academic sources, and public statements recorded in reputable/mainstream news sources from both Democrat and Republican sites.
Please advise on how best to update.
