Moving pages and broken redirects

When moving articles or pages, especially from bad page moves of popular articles, PLEASE leave behind a redirect. Every day I delete, unnecessarily, broken redirects because page movers, for some reason, don't want to leave behind a redirect when they move an article. And this is also true for talk pages, some page movers will leave behind a redirect for the article but not the talk page and that can still leave behind broken redirects. I'm not sure why this is the practice for most of our page movers so I've just been going one-by-one, requesting that page movers leave behind redirects whenever they move an article. Of course, if you check, "What links here", you can easily see whether or not an article has any redirects, if it doesn't then you don't have to worry about it.
