[edit]

Information icon Hi Gemligi! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Remsense ‥  00:32, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Yoshi24517. An edit you recently made to Poetry seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 00:44, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making test edits to Wikipedia pages, such as the one you made with this edit to Drama, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 01:11, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Epic poetry, you may be blocked from editing. Belbury (talk) 08:49, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

So sorry for vandalization

[edit]

So sorry for the inconveniences,I will try to amend things. Gemligi (talk) 11:34, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You are temporarily blocked from editing, as your edits are making pages worse.
Often, you are making grammatical mistakes and performing edits that, even if they were correct, would not improve the page. When the block is over, please slow down and think about adding useful information to pages, rather than making grammar changes.
If English is not your native language, I suggest finding a version of Wikipedia in your language and learning how to edit there. You can find a list here: List of Wikipedias. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 22:37, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gemligi given you want to help, I reiterate that you should take the advice given above and elsewhere. Your edits to articles so far simply do not make them better. Remsense ‥  22:52, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gemligi you should also never copy and paste directly from websites or other sources like you've just done at Proper noun. I strongly suggest you ask for guidance at the Teahouse before making further edits, as they have been persistently disruptive and you may get blocked again. Remsense ‥  23:02, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Kindly be of help?
I don t want to get block again. Gemligi (talk) 23:05, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I recommend you follow the advice already given to you by others on this page. I'm afraid if you do not speak English well, you should likely refrain from editing the English Wikipedia. Remsense ‥  23:06, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  — rsjaffe 🗣️ 22:32, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gemligi. I've looked through your edits. I don't think copyediting/changing wording is where your strengths lie. You might find other ways of improving articles at Wikipedia:Task Center, such as adding sources or categories. Another good way to help is to fix spelling errors (see Wikipedia:Typo Team/moss). Hope that helps. Schazjmd (talk) 22:40, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
