Stepan Pasicznyk article
Hello Administrator GB Fan. I noticed you just reverted my request to have Stepan Pasicznyk article deleted. Quite a few years ago I made the page so that I would be recorded as having been with the original line up of band "The Ukrainians" after seeing any mention of me on their web site disappear. I updated occasional activity since leaving the band, but I never really look at the chats on it etc. but recently did and noticed noticed a talk comment about declaring a COI. Admittedly I didn't read up on all that when I wrote it but I want to comply with this request and have this page deleted. I am a "Low Importance" musician according to "Wiki Project Musicians" so am sure I wont be missed on here and have since seen that the bands Wiki page is kind enough to list former members, me included. That could simply be de-linked so not pointing to me and left as plain text like the other former members. Could you delete the article about Stepan Pasicznyk for me please as I can't, and although I have made it as accurate as possible I feel it doesn't need to be there. Thanking you. Ukrainians (talk) 13:41, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- You keep tagging it for WP:G7. That only applies when there is only one significant contributor to the article. There is more than one significant contributor to this article so G7 does not apply. I changed the article to a redirect to The Ukrainians. If you don't want that there are two options, WP:PROD and WP:AFD. ~ GB fan 14:56, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
Because it was prodded over 12 years ago it cannot be done so again? Are them's the rules? Please help because I'm finding my old school manual way too hard to manage. Thanks, Plutonium27 (talk) 17:55, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
- Plutonium27, Those are the rules. PROD is one and done. Once an article has been PROD'd, it can never be PROD'd again. Even if no reason is given for the removal it still can not have a PROD added to the article again. ~ GB fan 18:52, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
- Got it. Thanks for the explanation. Best, Plutonium27 (talk) 19:40, 17 March 2023 (UTC)

RE: [1], how can I propose deletion of a self-indulgent user page by someone with no meaningful contributions to Wikipedia? - Jmabel | Talk 17:44, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- You can use a Speedy deletion criterion, if one applies. If one doesn't apply you can use miscellaneous for deletion process. ~ GB fan 17:49, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
Gary Roberts (radio broadcaster)
Hello.
Thank you for your time checking my proposal to delete an article recently. I have added a section on talk page of Gary Roberts (radio broadcaster) to explain the reason why I believe that this article should be deleted.
The main contributor of the article is not just closely connected to this page, but it seems that the user only makes contributions to this and other strictly-related pages of Australian radios that are included in this article.
Because I am quite new on this and I do more copy-editing processes, let me know for your comments. Thank you once again! Chiserc (talk) 22:23, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- If you believe it should be deleted, you will need to follow the directions at WP:AFDHOWTO and nominate it for deletion using the Articles for Deletion process. ~ GB fan 10:52, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
Speedy criteria for user pages re:User:ChaosCrash13
Hi. One of the speedy criteria for user pages says: Pages in userspace consisting of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals, where the owner has made few or no edits outside of user pages. Does User:ChaosCrash13, who only spends time founding their user pages all over various Wikimedia projects (there are already dozens of them) and who has not done any useful contribution to any of these projects, not fall under this criterion? -- Jan Kameníček (talk) 22:12, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- Your request for speedy deletion of the userpage used the rationale, "
user does not contribute, misuse of user pages for crosswiki selfpromotion
". Creating a userpage and not contributing to Wikipedia is not a reason to delete the userpage. Nothing on that userpage promotes the user. If you want to retag the page for speedy deletion using{{Db-U5}}
, another admin will decide if the page meets the criterion. ~ GB fan 11:37, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for removing TPA; I'd intended to do that when I increased the block; any reason why you changed this back to a 1-month block? Looking at the history, this IP has been used for the same vandalism since October 2022. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:49, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

Moving/Merging/Deleting Redirect
Hi GB Fan. Thanks for the advice moving Paul Carter (songwriter) to Benbrick. You mention deleting redirect page is not allowed. I see there is the possibility to use {{R to be deleted|reason=x}}, but also potentially WP:RM is more accurate and merging? Would appreciate any thoughts? It'sMeSatoshi (talk) 12:31, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- Deletion of a redirect is allowed. I said that using WP:PROD to delete a redirect is not allowed. You can request a move at WP:RM. ~ GB fan 12:48, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- Understood. Thanks. It'sMeSatoshi (talk) 18:44, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
"at least one source on the article when the BLPPROD was added"
Do External Links count as sources? If so I was not aware of that. (article is Antoinette Borg) ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 11:15, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- Blaze Wolf, From the first paragraph of WP:BLPPROD;
Unsourced biographies of living people (BLPs) are eligible for a special proposed deletion process, BLPPROD. To be eligible for a BLPPROD tag, the entry must be a biography of a living person and contain no sources in any form (as references, external links, etc., reliable or otherwise) supporting any statements made about the person in the biography.
~ GB fan 12:40, 2 May 2023 (UTC)- Oh... alright. Sorry about that. Guess I had missed that part. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:18, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
Removal of BLPPROD's
Hey there! Looks like you removed a handful of BLPPROD's that I made, you stated that the article had sourced when it was placed, but I'm not seeing any sources at all. Could you help me understand why these were removed, or if I've just completely missed something obvious! Thanks Mr.weedle (talk) 17:29, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- Mr.weedle, See the discussion directly above this one for the first part of the answer. The specifics for each article are below.
- J. B. Adams - There are three external links. I checked the first one, imdb, and it confirmed something in the article.
- Buddy Allen - Has a single external link that confirms info in the article.
- Arbaaz Ali Khan - Has a link to imdb that confirms info in the article
- Łukasz Wargala - Has a single external link that confirms info in the article.
- Walter Holman - Has a single external link that confirms info in the article.
- Those are the ones I removed that you had added the BLPPROD. All of them have at least one external link that confirms info in the article. For the sake of BLPPROD an external link that confirms a single piece of information is enough to survive BLPPROD. ~ GB fan 18:17, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- That makes total sense - appreciate your clarification Mr.weedle (talk) 23:44, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
Custom House Capital
Hi, I see you deleted an earlier article under the above title in 2016 on grounds of WP:A7. (See also this log.) There have been developments since, specifically the conviction and jailing of four men for conspiracy to defraud investors in the company. Would there be any issue if I created a new article on the subject, covering both the company and the fraud case? (There have been other news items covering developments in the fraud case in 2020-2023.) Autarch (talk) 15:19, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- All A7 says is that the version of the article that was deleted did not have a credible claim to significance. If you include a credible claim to significance it will survive deletion under A7. If you do not show the company is notable, it could be deleted otherways. ~ GB fan 10:02, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

I had created a page about a Philippine Bishop and Senator that was unfairly deleted even when the "offending" source that I used belonged to the public domain and that I had already cleaned to lessen the likelihood of copyright violations as per @Uncle Bash007's demands, and assuming that both of you bothered to see the Talk page and ran the entire thing again through Earwig. If you could help me retrieve the page I am very thankful. If not I will have to recreate it again. I do wish you could have contacted me before your decision was made. This page shouldn't be deleted. Because it's of a credibility personality whom without any affiliation is still notable. It was unfairly deleted. A personal research into his personality shows he's notable and in fact, is known as a youth business leader in Nigeria. And is currently the first son of Nigeria. The content used are those available in the public. Tomori Uriel (talk) 03:55, 1 June 2023 (UTC)

Belarusian mythology
Hello. Please help me to properly complete the request to remove the redirect from Belarusian mythology. Belarusian mythology is not connected with Slavic paganism, these are superstitions inscribed in Christian motives. There is Christ, the Virgin Mary, St. George and other saints, the church calendar is used. Such redirection is a blunder. Thank you. -- Maksim L. (talk) 20:06, 21 July 2023 (UTC)

Your recent CSD proposal
Hello, Are you sure you propose Horrors of War (film) for Speedy Deletion? I contested it but is it not simply an honest mistake? The G4 criterion does not apply. The result of the most recent Afd was Keep! (And rightly so, imv). Best -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 12:50, 1 August 2023 (UTC) NB— There are 2 Afds. Under different titles (film/2006 film) but the film is the same and the most recent Afd is a pretty clear Keep (see article TalkPage). May I remove your CsD tag or do you wish to do it yourself?

Liza Morales-Crespo
Hello, I noticed that my article on Liza Morales-Crespo was deleted and it did not specify why.
I am participating in a research class called Writing Women into the Canon of Architecture and Landscape Architecture led by Tijana Vujosevic at the University of British Columbia. The main objective of the class is to shed light on women architects in the global scale and publish as many Wikipedia pages as we can during the course. So far, there are about 80+ profiles that are in the works.
I acknowledge that the article may not be 100% ready. However, the goal of the class is to get as many articles published to open up the floor for further collaboration and contribution. We hope that the page can be restored. J0708x (talk) 16:38, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- You do not have any deleted contributions. There is a draft of an article about her that you have edited, Draft:Liza Morales-Crespo. ~ GB fan 22:51, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
Hi Gb fan
Thank you for your work on Wikipedia. I want to ask what happened to the Draft:Aisha Buhari Foundation page. I saw from logs that you deleted it because the author either blanked it then requested deletion or the author requested deletion when there was still contents. I was about to create a draft of it because it is a wanted page on the Nigeria WikiProject. I would love to know which the case is and if a refund is the case or I better create it from scratch with my own contents?
Kind regards :) Vanderwaalforces (talk) 11:23, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Vanderwaalforces, there was nothing in the draft that is usable. The entire content in the draft prior to the author marking it for deletion was; "
Draft has started. To be completed very soon.
" ~ GB fan 11:29, 6 September 2023 (UTC)- @GB fan Thanks for the response. That settles it, I better create from scratch with my own contents.

- The AFD outcome was to merge the content into the main article and redirect RoboCop (2014 soundtrack) to RoboCop (2014 film). I looked closer and saw that it had been done and have redirected it as the AFD outcome. ~ GB fan 11:48, 20 September 2023 (UTC)

- what does it fit then, as commercial and non commercial are in A7? FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:28, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- FuzzyMagma, Commercial and non-commercial organizations both are part of WP:A7. But land is not an eligible subject for A7. ~ GB fan 18:32, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- but it is not a land the same way Old Trafford is not or any play ground is not a land, it is a play ground. Normally rented or maintained by the city.
- I am not sure if we are splitting hairs here FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:35, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- FuzzyMagma, This is similar to discussions I have had about churches, are they a building or an organiztion. If they (and this) discuss it as a building (or land) it is not about an organization. The article is about "
an international cricket ground located in Dasmarinas, Philippines.
" This ground is owned by "Philippine Cricket Association" with the "Philippines" as tenants. I do not see any discussion in the article about an organization. What is the organization that you believe the article is about? Finally, it really doesn't make any difference if we are splitting hairs. From the fifth paragraph of WP:CSD, "Administrators should take care not to speedily delete pages or media except in the most obvious cases.
" This is not an obvious case to me, so it should not be speedy deleted. 19:01, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

Haitian Scientist
Hello, GB fan,
Thank you for reverting the speedy deletion tagging by this editor. Wnen they were editing recently as User:103.164.138.55, they seem preoccupied with editing out mentions of an individual, usually European, having African or African-American heritage (even though their IP traces back to Vietnam). Now they have registered this account and they are repeating some of the same behavior. Not all of their edits show bias as they have been adding some sources to articles but still I'd keep an eye on them. Thanks again. Liz Read! Talk! 18:00, 11 October 2023 (UTC)

Here is something I just posted that seems to involve you
Wikipedia is (opinion) only made stronger by the inclusion of niche articles that might not appeal to everyone. We have 6 and a half million articles, so they are not all for everyone. I believe (another opinion) that the British EPs era (ca. 1960 to 1967) is one of those corners and that these articles casts a little light there. Our article, List of number-one EPs in the United Kingdom (which goes from 1960 until 1967) shows that wikipedia does recognize this era, and as in all (most?) such situations, we are not just concerned with #1 songs. I also feel that serious editors should leave other serious editors alone when there is no harm being done. Also these articles were put up for deletion on Oct. 27 and 28 (I think) and are now (Oct. 31), gone, along with their covers. They had been there for 5 years or so, so what is the rush? These three, The Shadows No. 2 and The Shadows No. 3 and Rhythm & Greens were then folded into (what ever the term is) The Shadows discography where they are still blue links connected to the same article that they are now in. This is way-to-fast editing and pretty sloppy at that. I’d like to see the articles returned. For those who just must have rules I will toss in Ignore all rules. Carptrash (talk) 20:29, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- Carptrash, That was simple. Restored, the articles from being redirects, removed the PROD tags and removed the orphan fair use tags from the cover images. You could have done it yourself. ~ GB fan 22:10, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

Thrasam
There was a page for the movie Thrasam. Why was this deleted? Mmaroufin (talk) 06:55, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- Mmaroufin, The deletion log you got my name from explains why it was deleted. It says
Expired PROD, concern was: Fails WP:NFILM and WP:GNG. Nothing notable on a WP:BEFORE
. What that means is that another editor, Kolma8, proposed that the article should be deleted and after 7 days no one objected to the deletion, so I deleted it. Kolma8's concern was that the film did not meet the specific film notability guidelines WP:NFILM. They also stated it didn't meet the general notability guideline, WP:GNG. They also stated that they had completed web searches and could not find anything to fix the article to meet those guidelines, WP:BEFORE. Since it was deleted via WP:PROD, if you ask for it to be restored, it will be. ~ GB fan 11:44, 7 November 2023 (UTC)- This is a movie page. How can this be expired. Strange. Mmaroufin (talk) 11:59, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- Mmaroufin, you misunderstood what I said. The movie page did not expire, the proposed deletion tag expired. The way the proposed deletion process works is that an editor adds a tag to the top of the page and explains why the article should be deleted. The tag must remain on the article for at least a full 7 days. If it does it said that the PROD tag has expired and the article can be deleted without any discussion because no one objected to the deletion. That is what happened to this article. When the Proposed deletion process (PROD) is used, if anyone objects at any stage, even after it is deleted it won't be deleted or will be undeleted if already deleted. Like I said before if you want the article back, all you have to do is ask. ~ GB fan 12:12, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- HI GB fan, Sorry for not understanding the process. Could you please restore the article back as it is an award winning movie.

- Mmaroufin, you misunderstood what I said. The movie page did not expire, the proposed deletion tag expired. G1 deletion
Hi, I picked G1 figuring that was the closest thing we had. (Page: Draft:Bill Juhlin.) I see that it isn't quite nonsense as strictly defined, but whatever it is it certainly isn't an encyclopedia article (it's just like "hi my name is bill"), so what's the correct criteria for this one? I would use A7 if it was in mainspace. Or do we just ignore these and wait for them to time out as G13s? -- asilvering (talk) 18:15, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
- As I see it there are two options.
- 1. Let it sit for 6 months and it goes away.
- 2. Nominate it at WP:MFD.
- My preference in this situation is #1. It is harmless, if someone continues to edit it so that G13 doesn't apply, then revert to #2. ~ GB fan 18:24, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
- Got it, thanks. -- asilvering (talk) 18:31, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
Request to Restore the Baltic Chemistry Olympiad Page
Dear GB fan,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you regarding the Wikipedia page for the Baltic Chemistry Olympiad, which was deleted on 8 August 2018. As the organizer of this Olympiad, I would like to request its restoration and discuss how I can improve the page to meet Wikipedia's notability standards.
The Baltic Chemistry Olympiad is one of the few international competitions for high school students in the field of chemistry. It stands out not only due to its international scope but also because of its historical significance, being one of the oldest of its kind. What further distinguishes this Olympiad is the availability of its problems online, a feature shared only with the International Chemistry Olympiad. This accessibility makes it a valuable educational resource for students globally.
I am currently in the process of collecting and digitizing all 30 sets of problems from the past Olympiads to make them freely available online. This effort underscores the Olympiad's educational value and its relevance to students and educators worldwide.
Given these points, I believe the Baltic Chemistry Olympiad page would be a significant addition to Wikipedia, providing useful information to a global audience interested in educational competitions and chemistry. I am committed to addressing the previous concerns regarding notability and ensuring that the page complies with all Wikipedia guidelines.
I am ready to provide reliable, independent sources that highlight the significance and impact of the Baltic Chemistry Olympiad. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to best proceed with restoring and improving the page.
Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to your advice and am eager to contribute positively to the Wikipedia community.
Sincerely, Olunet (talk) 20:41, 11 November 2023 (UTC) Vladislav Ivanistsev , mentor of the Estonian team at the International Chemistry Olympiad and the organizer of Baltic Chemsitry Olympiad and Baltic Chemistry Challenge.
G4 and draft space
In this edit summary, you wrote that does not apply to pages in Draft space, would need to go to WP:MFD
. If you weren't aware, the text of G4 includes It excludes pages in userspace and draftspace where the content was converted to a draft for explicit improvement (but not simply to circumvent Wikipedia's deletion policy).
- so sometimes (and I would say in this case, where the draft is a copy that was submitted the same day the AFD closed) drafts are eligible for G4. MrOllie (talk) 13:50, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

@GB fan:, Could you please draftify my article you deleted without any warning (FK Arkadag) to Draft:FK Arkadag so I could improve it in draftspace? Thanks, Das osmnezz (talk) 07:37, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
Concerns Regarding Edits on Arlyzinho BR Article by User '79a'
Hello, how are you? I'd like to report that the user "79a" is editing the article Arlyzinho BR with inaccurate information and lacking supporting references. As the article's creator, I can confirm the absence of these references. Please, check the situation and prevent further changes by this user. Zp124 (talk) 18:52, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- I don't know anything about the person and don't want to research to learn anything. My only involvement was to decline an invalid speedy deletion request. ~ GB fan 19:21, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- I understand perfectly that part of your argument, it becomes tiresome dealing with his insistence on a mere argumentation lacking effective evidence. Is there any way for me to report him or obtain a comprehensive clarification on what I wrote, whether there is an error or something causing this conflict, bothering him to the extent of wanting to delete the article? Zp124 (talk) 19:30, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- Step one is to discuss the difference of opinion on the article's talk page, Talk:Arlyzinho BR. If you can not get resolution there, there are different things you can do.
- You can ask for a Third Opinion.
- You could potentially ask for help at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Musicians.
- The Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard, is a potential place to get help.
- There is the Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard.
- Before you do any of these things, you need to read the headers on the page to determine if what you are doing falls within the scope of the page. ~ GB fan 19:47, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi. Why do we have redirects for misspellings? That seems to encourage misspelling in Wikipedia instead of fixing them. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 13:38, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- I did not say we should have the redirect. I just said that the reason you tagged it with was not a valid speedy deletion criterion. You can nominate it for deletion using WP:RFD if you feel it should be deleted. That is the only path forward to deletion. ~ GB fan 13:47, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
Is it common to have redirects for misspellings in Wikipedia? I don't want to waste my time if this is something permitted. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 14:11, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- Here is a link to the purpose of redirects, WP:RPURPOSE. It gives the "Reasons for creating and maintaining redirects". There is an entry a little more than halfway down the list, says that starts with "Likely misspellings". This is more of an alternative capitalization which is mentioned two entries below the misspelling entry. There are many misspelling and miscapitalization redirects on Wikipedia, see [4] and [5]. ~ GB fan 14:52, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll leave it the way it is. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 01:10, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
Luis Bezanilla - hoax or not?
Hi. What do you reckon of this Draft:Luis Bezanilla where you "decline WP:G3, not a blatant hoax"? I wondered what convinced you that it wasn't a hoax, that I might have missed? -Lopifalko (talk) 11:02, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- I did not say it wasn't a hoax, I said it wasn't a blatant hoax. The criterion, WP:G3, says it applies to "
blatant and obvious misinformation
". I do not see any "blatant and obvious misinformation" in that draft. ~ GB fan 11:37, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
Delete Article
As the article's creator, I confirm this article (Christopher Muneza) is not notable enough to be on wikipedia, for this reason lacking reliable sources such like KT press is not considered as notable newspaper it is blog. Pfomma (talk) 21:44, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
- He might not be notable enough to have an article. I neversaid he was. You nominated it for WP:G7. That criterion has two parts that must be satisfied to apply. First it must have been nominated by the article creator. In this case that happened. Next there have to be no other significant contributors. In this case, there are other editors that have made significant contributors to the article. G7 does not apply. You have started n AFD (this time) so that is a proper venue to have the article deleted. ~ GB fan 11:47, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
The Lordship of Saxon's Lode
I am puzzled why you consider this not a blatant hoax. The picture of the 13th century manor house (sic) is blatantly a 20th/21st century building, the archeology refs refer to excavations in Northamptonshire, Other refs are just to generic or home pages and so on. The history is blatantly false, by the 13th century the country was under Norman rule. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 15:40, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- I would say that the very first source on the article, https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/3638957, would indicate that it isn't a blatant hoax. There are five sources that do not have links to examine online, I have to assume good faith that someone has verified that they do verify the information in the article. There are parts that make it look like it may be a hoax, but in my opinion it is not blatantly one. ~ GB fan 16:45, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- Murgatroyd49,Also, if you still believe the article meets WP:G3, renominate by adding
{{db-hoax}}
to the top and another admin will determine if it meets the criterion. ~ GB fan 16:55, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
Protection request
Dear GB fan, Hello, Can you protect Bhajan Lal Sharma from Ip editor and new editors because he is appointed as next 14th Cheif minister of Rajasthan, so, this article may be affected by a current event and someone has already request for semi-protection WP:RfPP. 😊~~ αvírαm|(tαlk) 13:17, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- From a quick look, I do not see a high level of vandalism to justify protection. The request is still open, but you might want to chime in there as the requester is a sockpuppet that is now blocked. ~ GB fan 17:27, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
Move page request
Regarding your edit summary here, if the page truly cannot stay as a draft, then can you retitle it to "List of Katy Perry live performances" please? I only used the possessive when moving since a "Draft:List of Katy Perry live performances" redirect already existed at the time (preventing me from using such a title). SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 20:29, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

Draft:Saen Parunchai
Hi, I see that I can't use normal prod on drafts. I was wondering what is the proper process to delete Draft:Saen Parunchai since the Draft I now useless. The article have been moved to mainspace. No more need for this page.
Thanks!

You declined a speedy delete request for Indie Soul
You declined a speedy delete request for Indie soul, afterwards and immediately within minutes he AFD'd it without following proper procedures for other remedies. He has then been using demeaning WP references like soapbox and righterwrongs and other general language which I believe to be at best unintentional bias and subtle racism. I am no longer participating in the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Indie soul because I reject the premise that it is actually about the article. I am new and unfamiliar with the organizational structure of users but I have contacted you and AfroCrowd in hopes someone else will continue that. In the mean time I am solely working to continue to improve the article. Atmospherpolyphonic (talk) 22:34, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- I declined the speedy deletion request because it didn't clearly meet the criterion. That is as far as I am willing to go on the article. I don't care at all about any musical genre articles. I will not get involved in editing the article or the AFD about it. ~ GB fan 11:13, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
- Understood. Thank you Atmospherpolyphonic (talk) 07:22, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

May I ask you for a vote on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brand24
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brand24
Hey GB fan,
May I ask you for a vote on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brand24? You have touched this stub by removing speedy deletion template few days ago, hence my request. I would appreciate any feedback here - I'm getting back to Wiki after few years and might not have proper understanding of a current guidelines what is, and what is not notable.
Cheers, Mlepicki (talk) 09:46, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- I declined the speedy delete because being a publicly traded compane is a credible claim to significance. Having a credible claim to significance is enough to survive speedy deletion. Credible claim to significance is a much lower bar than notability. The article needs to show that the subject is notable to survive WP:AFD. The way to show that a subject is notable it to provide independent reliable sources. I am not interested in learning enough about the company to determine if I think it is notable. ~ GB fan 11:29, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- As a side note, Articles for deletion is not a vote. The outcome of the discussion is based on the arguments not the number of people saying Keep or Delete. There can be fewer Keep comments and the article could still be kept, the same goes for Delete. ~ GB fan 11:35, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
Vanished user
A user that you approved a vanish for last May[6] has reappeared under a different username[7] (registered this past December). At the time they vanished, they were in the middle of an ANI report about their editing behavior, though it does not look like that discussion was going to end in any sort of sanctions; that said, their old account was littered with edit warring warnings, as is their new one, and the tone and content of their interactions with others are not promising.
Normally, I'd just file an SPI, but from a good faith standpoint, it's possible this editor may not realize they aren't just supposed to start over with a new account, since they previously explicitly outed the connection[8]. Similarly, this edit[9] might just be unfounded boasting, or it might be an indication of socking history. I thought I'd bring this directly to you to possibly handle it more gently, but if you think I should file an SPI instead, let me know. Grandpallama (talk) 03:14, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- I don't understand why you are coming to me about this. This is outside of what I normally do. ~ GB fan 12:37, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- Just out of deferenkce to you as the admin who did the vanishing, in case there were circumstances I wasn't aware of (e.g., some sort of privacy or harassment issue for the user tied to the original name) that would make drawing attention to it a mistake. From your reaction, I guess not, so I'll just take it to SPI. Grandpallama (talk) 15:08, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- I didn't approve any vanishing. I deleted a user page. Anyone can request their user page be deleted for any reason. Deletion of a user page is not vanishing. Cabayi is the user that actually accomplished the vanishing. ~ GB fan 15:17, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- Whoops! So he did. My apologies for the mix-up; no wonder you were perplexed. Grandpallama (talk) 15:55, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

Deletion of "Balustrade"
Hi, you reverted my proposal to delete Balustrade (note that it's a redirect). Unfortunately you did not indicate what other approach may be suitable - that's a bit unhelpful :-(. Could you participate in the discussion on Talk:Balustrade to find a solution? Sebastian (talk) 20:33, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Sleske, There are two options available. If a valid speedy deletion criterion applies, you can nominate it using that criterion. If a valid speedy deletion criterion does not apply then you will need to use redirects for deletion. ~ GB fan 20:54, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll look into it. Sebastian (talk) 21:15, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
BLPPROD removal

Howdy. How do I nominate the re-direct Western conference finals (which I mistakenly created) for deletion? It should be deleted as there's no re-direct called Eastern conference finals. -- GoodDay (talk) 19:43, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of article in Lithuanian
@GB fan I have noticed you have removed the speedy deletion notice I inserted. I would like to know if it can be listed for speedy deletion by another criterion or it must be keeped. Thanks 14 novembre (talk) 19:32, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- THere is not a speedy deletion criterion, that applies just because a page is not in English. If you think it should be deleted you will need to make your case at WP:MFD. The other option is to leave it alone and if no one edits it for 6 months it will be deleted. ~ GB fan 20:17, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- Many thanks, 14 novembre (talk) 21:06, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
