Wikipedia and copyright

Hello Fungipedia, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Boletus variipes have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

Hey Fungipedia, thank you for your contributions, and please don't worry.

Feel free to remove the whole section; it's not meant to be a pillory. If you have seen a message, you may always remove it entirely, if you like to. I personally chose to create an archive for my talk page one day. If you would like to have an archive as well, I will happily set it up for you, including automatic archival of old messages by a bot.

If you happen to be the copyright holder of the copied content, e.g. because you are the website owner, please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials -- in a nutshell, all you'd need to do is to add a license notice to your website. Feel free to ask any questions on my talk page; I use Creative Commons licenses as well and might be able to help with the details.
