RE:Surgery
Wow, now that is extremely odd. As for which purpose my surgery was, I had about 4 or 5 (I can't remember which quantity right now) teeth removed from inside of my gums and I also had my wisdom teeth removed. Luckily, the hospital gave my parents prescriptions for pharmaceuticals, so I'm not writhing on the floor right now :P ~Steptrip 00:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- I had to get about 3 teeth pulled in addition to this surgery before my orthodontist will even consider giving me braces. Btw, could you tell me what you think of this page (I got the idea of a centralized assignment page from you, before that, I would just answer any old question left on my talk page)? ~Steptrip 00:40, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't have anything to say (man, that surgery must have been bad =). I guess I can't do that design competition because Fan has already
sawseen that page. ~Steptrip 01:06, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

- Do you mean the headers.css page? As for the difference between CSS and JavaScript, CSS is what your userpage coding is, so it's much easier for me to code than JavaScript. ~Steptrip 01:16, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- The headers add customized hyoerlinks to a user's edit count, contribs, edit summary usage, depending on whomever's page on which it is posted. Btw, when you are finished programming, could you tell me what you were programming? ~Steptrip 01:23, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Thank You/Recent Edits.
I'm posting for two reasons: 1: thank you for your support in my RfA; my RfA was not successful, but still, thanks for your support. 2: I am pleased to see that your mainspace edits are now over 600, and I'm glad that your edit summary usage is at 100% for last month, and for this month (of course, this month is only on it's 3rd day, but you're still at 100%). I am glad you listen to your reviews. Keep this good work up. :) Acalamari 19:22, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

I was looking at this, and, per my vandal fighting nature, I immediately reported the inflammatory ones to AIV. Btw, what were you programming yesterday when you went offline? ~Steptrip 21:09, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- I've seen something similar in a Perl tutorial ... and speaking of Perl, I can't run the compiler and my cheeks have swollen up to the size of apples. Me right now --> :( Nonetheless, I'd like to see the code. ~Steptrip 21:31, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Help with Shahbag
The article is inching towards an FA status and is being reviewed for a second time by peers. But, it still needs much copyedit (especially with citation template and dating web citations). A wholesomely coherent style of English and a completely cohesive flow of the article is mightily required at this point. I have also tagged the article for sopyedit, and have posted a request with Wikipedia:WikiProject League of Copyeditors. Please, help. Aditya Kabir 16:13, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Hows it going? Just checking my messages. I'm surprised that you didn't send me any. If only you talked to me on wikipedia as much as you talk to me on the phone! Anyway how's it going? --Jazzy Trumpeteer 03:28, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Past Account
It would've been either Diabloman or Diabloman8890
Diabloman 00:28, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi again! Actually, I did a bit more research myself and managed to find my old account (actually my old user page just bounced to my talk page). Strange that Wikipedia kept insisting that it didn't exist. Anyway, thanks a ton for looking into it for me anyway... people like you are what make Wikipedia great. Diabloman 22:31, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
My old account was Diabloman8890... you might be able to find the talk page if you search for "Diabloman8890" (and if you have the box checked in your search preferences that lets you search for users, etc.) Actually, heres a link to save you the trouble (cant get a wiki link to work) :( http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/User:DiabloMan8890 Diabloman 22:47, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
WikiHumor
This pretty much sums up this message. ~Steptrip 18:48, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- Did you see the list of blocks on User talk:Jouster, oh and btw, I noticed you made a copyedit and changed including to includi!! More WikiHumor!!! ~Steptrip 00:56, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- Check out this page and look at the code. I changed the parser function from to , which is more suited to the purpose of the userbox. Is your RfA already created, but not active? How do you think I would do in an RfA? ~Steptrip 02:24, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, by the comment I posted on ANNAfoxlover's talk page, I meant that you should have a considerably high mainspace count (at least 1200, with it being one of the highest areas). Thanks for the comment about my hypothetical RfA, in fact, Husond is giving me questions that someone would expect to see in an RfA. This, of course, has no interference with the Adopt-A-User program. In closing, your comments were not confusing to me whatsoever. ~Steptrip 18:21, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Your signature
I'm sure you've already been told this, but your signature is a little long. The current version (below) is over 250 characters:
--Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!)
If you can reduce it to something more like 200 characters by using a single color, font, or link, I think that users participating in discussions will greatly appreciate it. Thanks. --Tewy 02:40, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Is this better?
- <span style="font-family: Monotype Corsiva; font-size: 12pt">Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!)</span>
- Yes, that does look better in the code window. If you want to maintain the colors and reduce it even more, something like what's below works just fine. It allows you to maintain originality while minimizing distractions.
- (Code):
<span style="color:#008000">--Cremepuff222</span> (<span style="color:#2F4F4F">talk</span>, <span style="color:#2F4F4F">review me!</span>)
- Play around with it, keeping in mind Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing your signature. --Tewy 01:29, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

WIkifun Q6
No need to tell me when you answer a question - I'm keeping an eye on any changes made to the answer pages. Your answer was, unfortunately, not correct. If you check the Q6 answer page you'll see my reply there, together with an abject apology for getting the question wrong. I think only one of the numbers I gave was actually right but I have changed the question now. Sorry about that. --Spondoolicks 08:53, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

What's new?
Well, the header basically says the question. As for me, I've been doing some work in the template namespace, mainly to Template:Measurement converter and Template:Usertalk footer, and, of course, MOTD. What about you? ~Steptrip 23:54, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

How do you get an editor's review? Hmrox 01:19, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
New template
Not to sound vain or anything, but check out Randomquote; it's a template that randomly selects and displays a quote that is already set in the edit window. On another subject into which I really shouldn't be venturing, how do you like my new signature (I had to change it because I've had numerous complaints about my signature's length). ~ Steptrip 00:16, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

It's OK, as soon as I saw you'd supported my other AfDs I realised it was a genuine mistake. No harm done - the article was always going to be deleted anyway. Pufnstuf 00:36, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

RE:New Username
Yes, it is I, the editor formerly known as Steptrip :-) Btw, I like your new sig. ~ Magnus animum 23:54, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- I did, but I soon realized that I disliked the username "The King of Spades" and the usurpation process takes far too long, so I just asked for a CHU from Steptrip to "Magnus animum" which, in my opinion, sounds a heck-of-a-lot cooler. ~ Magnus animum (aka Steptrip) 01:01, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- I grew bored with my old username having had it for 7 months and I have always liked the rhythm of latin words (I have no idea why, however :-) ~ Magnus animum (aka Steptrip) 01:06, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Re:Signature
I've managed to reduce my signature size quite a bit and still keep it looking cool. What do you think (about both size and appearance)?
[[User:Cremepuff222|<span style="color:#008000">
*Cremepuff</span>]]<span style="color:#006400">222*</span>
I haven't counted, but I think it is <=100 characters. *Cremepuff222* 22:38, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- I do believe you have successfully created an interesting, yet shorter signature (it's about 130 characters). That more than meets recommendations, and as I look at this edit window, I'm not distracted by more than 3 lines of code. Well done. --Tewy 01:51, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

RE:Wikihumor
Figures, misspelling "misspelling" is like answering the question "What is the answer to this question?" I'm known (or perhaps, infamous) at school for always using correct grammar (more specifically, never ending a sentence with a preposition and using who and whom correctly) and also spelling words with impeccable accuracy (I came in 5th place in my regional spelling bee). Templates
Hey, I was wondering, how do I make a template on my page, like something that I can type brackets for that will automatically insert something? Like:Redian (Talk) 03:16, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Okay, so how do I add things to a specific page, and section using Monobook.js?Redian (Talk) 00:04, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Meaning I want to know how to make a script that will add a link to each entry on the New Users Log for Welcoming them, that will take me to an edit screen, from which I can do the rest of the coding. I think. Do you know what I'd have to do to make that link show up and link to the right place?Redian (Talk) 00:23, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
RE:A new template!
Just to clarify, Randomquote chooses a quote with the same "randomness" factor as Qxz-ads. Do you mind if I try to decrease the convoluted size of the template's coding? ~ Magnus animum (aka Steptrip) 00:50, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- I've re-coded it. How do you like it (feel free to revert me)? ~ Magnus animum (aka Steptrip) 01:15, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- A little of both as I got the original code from Qxz-ads, and I modified it from there. Pi is just there to add to the randomization. ~ Magnus animum (aka Steptrip) 01:47, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Hello, Tewy! I've been working on a new template for MoTD that automatically generates a random motto for the past hour, and I want to know what you think of it. Check out User:Cremepuff222/RandomMotto. *Cremepuff222* 00:24, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- I like it, and as you can see, I've made some changes. Sorry for removing the pi code, Magnus animum, but I think my replacement makes sense as well. --Tewy 04:07, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for editing it! Is it alright if I add it to the table on the MoTD page? *Cremepuff222* 17:10, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- I just made the month part random too..., is that bad? *Cremepuff222* 17:41, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Go ahead and add it to the MotD table. As for the random month, it could create a problem because mottos aren't necessarily planned for the entire year. I would keep it within the current month because future mottos might not exist. --Tewy 17:47, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, considering that this whole year is done for motto planning, we could just keep it like that (for now, at least...). *Cremepuff222* 17:55, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- I suppose so. And like you said, the problem will come when next year comes around, and only January will be filled. You can't make a random motto based off of 2006 either, because those subpages will be up for deletion soon. The best option is the current month. --Tewy 18:05, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Good point, I'll make some changes... *Cremepuff222* 18:07, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
