[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Mobile theatre. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. Not only these topics, any India related topics except the language articles of course. And be careful with what you delete. Yo've removed the "short description" added by me which I reverted. Regards. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:25, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:25regatal 173218.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:25regatal 173218.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 09:30, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Birendra Kumar Bhattacharya, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Assamese (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 17:47, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Assam. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Assam, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 10:32, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for informing. Actually I removed the template [citation needed] because the sentence it represented " Assamese literature is one of the richest."(Richest OF WHAT?) is vague due to its unclear formation. Moreover we have an another section for Assamese literature in the same article. I have cited the reasons recently. And added the references for Voiceless velar fricative. You may check it once. Thank you.Ankur Jyoti Dewri (talk) 04:45, 21 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

hello dear. I needed a help. Since I am new to Wikipedia I wanted to know:

1) Can contents which have direct links to wikipedia, be added without citing sources in a new article ? 2) There are many articles on subjects like Indian Literature which are not properly cited, yet these contents can't be removed ? 3) what are such subjects or topics on which articles can be written without citing proper sources ? Would remain grateful to you! Ankur Jyoti Dewri (talk) 09:58, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Stop marking major edits as "minor"[1][2][3] as you have been doing this almost every single time. Aman Kumar Goel(Talk) 05:53, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Reliable Source

[edit]

hi there, thanks for your help in improving the articles. Please note that Republic and Times now are not considered reliable sources after discussion at WP:RSN so try to avoid them. Especially avoid them on controversial articles as it leads to contradictions. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Ankur Jyoti Dewri. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Manoj Kumar Das, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. In particular, you have claimed this professional-quality, close range photo of Das as your own work, which would suggest that you have met him in person. signed, Rosguill talk 22:43, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
