[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edits to Bill Maher, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edits had to be reverted, because much of the material you added was not found in the source you cited.

Specifically, There was no mention of "gun control", "torture", or "health care", no mention that the Christians Maher criticized were Evangelicals, nor is the quote about "joining Greenpeace and hating whales" in that cited source.

In addition, characterizing Maher's statements as "violent denunciation" is inappropriate. Please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Words to watch.

In a similar vein, it is important that ideas be worded in an attributive manner. Even if we were to suppose Maher was referring to hypocrisy, it is inappropriate to refer to it in passing as a matter of fact, because it gives the appearance that the article is in agreeing with Maher. Such a passage would more appropriately be worded as "Maher denounced what he saw as hypocrisy...", in order to stress that this was Maher's viewpoint. Please note that this is the exact wording that the Mediaite story uses.

In the future, please make sure your additions are supported by the sources you cite. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 00:19, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Abrahamic religions, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Common Era is a dating system, not a religion. Auric talk 01:01, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change era formats, as you did at Delos Synagogue, History of the Jews in Lebanon, Christian community of Najran, and Abrahamic religions you may be blocked from editing. Wikipedia has specific rules regarding era changes, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Jayjg (talk) 02:05, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you make disruptive edits to Wikipedia contrary to the Manual of Style, as you did at Abrahamic religions, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Auric talk 12:55, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Antisemitism and the New Testament, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Jayjg (talk) 20:47, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Faizan Al-Badri. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to Paul the Apostle and women, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Faizan (talk) 10:55, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
