AfC
[edit]Hi there!
At Articles for Creation, you submit articles to the mainspace on the behalf of the original author. In the edit summary you must explicitly credit that author. This step is used to adhere to the GFDL licensing agreement, which states, "the authors of the work must be attributed". Without crediting the original author in the edit summary, that clause is broken. There's a specific edit summary suggestion on the AfC reviewing instructions:
- Created article written by Example, as per request at Wikipedia:Articles for creation (please help!)
You are receiving this message because I have found that one of your AfC article submissions did not have the necessary edit summary attribution. This can be repaired easily by making a dummy edit, using a modified edit summary such as in this example. If you have created any more articles for AfC, could you drop me a list of the article titles on this page? Thank-you.
