I am originally from Fort Ann, NY, located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. For the better part of the last five years I have been splitting my time between home and Potsdam, NY, where I have been attending school.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Clarkson University, and I am currently working on a Master of Science degree in math, also at Clarkson. My thesis will be on conjugacy of dynamical systems. Specifically it will explore computational techniques for measuring how close two dynamical systems are to being conjugate. After completing my master's degree, I hope to enroll in a Ph.D. program at another school, and I would like to study number theory or algebra there.
I have used Wikipedia extensively in the past to read about various topics, but I am new to the editing process. I hope to find time in the near future to usefully contribute to the Wikipedia knowledge base. While I may not be able to make major contributions to articles, at the very least I can participate in the general upkeep of Wikipedia. I also plan to do my part to correct vandalism when I notice it.
