Linking to city articles

[edit]

The links to the cities articles was going to the city propers articles. A user changed it to link to the metropolitan articles which I agree with, but unfortunately some of the metro articles are for areas much larger than the CMA. The Calgary Region for example is a vast area much larger than the CMA. The London metro was linking to the Middlesex County article. And some cities just don't have a metro article. There must be a better way to fix this. Maybe keeping them linked to the city proper articles is best for now ? UrbanNerd (talk) 04:11, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the city articles should be the wikilinked articles until such time there is an article, or section within an article, dedicated to the city's CMA defined by StatCan. For an example, the more appropriate wikilink alternative to Calgary Region would simply be its CMA section (Calgary Region#Calgary CMA). However, this is moot until cities, such as Regina, have articles or article sections dedicated to their CMAs. We could nudge the respective provincial WikiProjects to see if they would be willing to create these for those CMAs that are not yet respresented. If there is no action, I suggest the city articles remain the wikilinked articles. Hwy43 (talk) 05:03, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Any Pictures?

[edit]

Does anyone know how to place pictures of some the cities in this table? --Zurkhardo (talk) 06:25, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
