Is there a consensus on whether pushpin maps in the infobox are preferred over the default OpenStreetMap (OSM) mapframes? Several existing churches in the Philippines use pushpin maps (for example, Bangued Cathedral); a few churches in urban areas, however, use the default OSM mapframe (like Manila Cathedral). I am confused on which to use since I see both as useful but adding a pushpin map will override/hide the default OSM mapframe. Sanglahi86 (talk) 17:46, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Sanglahi86 it's possible to change the logic to make mapframe shown even if pushpin map is specified.
It would be a substantial change in the default view, though, so we'd have to have a clear consensus, and watch Category:Pages with script errors after the change in order to clean up any fresh issues (often times this kind of a change will make broken coordinates fields much more obvious to readers). --Joy (talk) 17:36, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
