About the 1985 WHV logo...
[edit]I found out that there's a bylineless variant of this logo! However, this variant was only on WHV releases outside the United States. Gabrielkat 21:48, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
The 1985-1997 WHV logo

WHV's logo
[edit]There is no reason why over half of an article about Warner Home Video should be about its logo. This is a general encyclopedia, not a logo database. —tregoweth (talk) 00:47, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Excuse me, Mr. Tregoweth, but when you sign your comments, why is your name in italics? Gabrielkat 01:09, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- I edited it in my preferences by adding —''[[User:Tregoweth|tregoweth]]'' ([[User talk:Tregoweth|talk]]) and selecting the "Raw signature" option. —tregoweth (talk) 15:31, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well, stop putting your name in italics, because it's very bothersome! Gabrielkat 08:24, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

- From Wikipedia:Images: "Articles that use more than one image should present a variety of material near relevant text. Three uniformed portraits would be redundant for a biography of a famous general. A map of a battle and a picture of its aftermath would provide more information to readers." —tregoweth (talk) 15:32, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Can you PLEASE this page back to the way it was before Trivialist destroyed it? I ADDED "Citation needed" tags on the unsourced content about Warner's distribution, library and international deals AND what they own and release on DVD, Blu-ray and video, right over here. There's no reason Trivialist would remove it and destroy the page further and disappoint any VHS/DVD/Blu-ray buffs. I mean, the page is NOTHING without this useful information now. 69.133.50.216 (talk) 04:51, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
- Not done as WP:BURDEN "The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material" so it won't be restored without a reliable source - Arjayay (talk) 07:39, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
Warner Home Video recently changed their name to "Warner Bros. Home Entertainment".
[edit]It's true. Don't believe me? Click this link: http://www.closinglogos.com/page/Warner+Bros.+Home+Entertainment --2601:2C0:C100:41C0:7DAA:4205:D986:8151 (talk) 13:49, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- Closinglogos.com is a wiki and therefore isn't a reliable source. Trivialist (talk) 17:11, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- Also, per Warner Bros.' site as of a few seconds ago, WHV is a division of WBHE. Trivialist (talk) 17:14, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
Need help
[edit]Can anyone help me move this page from Warner Home Video to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment? They recently changed their name (see above) and when I try to move it, it says that a page with the same name already exists. Any help is appreciated. --RegalHawk (talk) 16:02, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- I'm really not sure if I'm doing this right. I renamed Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (which is a redirect to WHV) to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (re) so that I could rename WHV to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. However, I found that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment still exists as a redirect to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (re), so I CAN'T rename WHV. This is just really confusing. --RegalHawk (talk) 16:14, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- Things are back to how they were. If you think you have a case for renaming the article, follow the instructions in WP:Requested moves#Requesting controversial and potentially controversial moves. If you look at the section above this one, you'll see that the renaming has been contested, so no more bold initiatives. Favonian (talk) 17:42, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
Warner Bros. has a new home entertainment logo
[edit]So, I saw that Warner Bros. has a new logo with "Warner Home Video" banner being replaced with "Home Entertainment" banner. I'm not kidding. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EARqSVzoty8 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.37.24.219 (talk) 21:23, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- Fine, but (1) that's not a source, and (2) that doesn't mean that WHV changed its name. Trivialist (talk) 22:43, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- I actually don't see the Warner Home Video logo anymore. The new logo (which is WBHE) starts with the Blu-ray/DVD release of Collateral Beauty. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.37.31.8 (talk) 12:31, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

Reverted redirect
[edit]I reverted this edit by ChowderRulez (talk · contribs) because it was an attempt to move the page tp Warner Bros. Home Entertainment via this edit, but a page move would be needed here, because per WP:MOVE and WP:PAGE, copy-pasting over instead of doing a page move fragments the edit history, which needs to be preserved per CC-BA-SA, a user's edit needs attribution in the edit history. I have no opinion on the merits of doing a page move to a new title or not, I'm only reverting it because it was a copy-paste move and not the way the page needs to be moved. - Aoidh (talk) 16:17, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Warner Home Video → Warner Bros. Home Entertainment – I'm not sure which is the appropriate location. Looking for consensus after previous copy/paste moves were attempted (noted above), and the article still seems to reflect "Home Entertainment". I'm really just trying to find a final target for one of the WP:Broken redirects, HBO Home Video, after some re-writes at the old target. 2pou (talk) 17:59, 22 June 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. - I definitely think it should be done; Warner Bros. isn't using the "Warner Home Video" name anymore. Not to mention the new logo doesn't even use the "Home Video" name: http://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/logopedia/images/7/76/Warner_Bros._Home_Entertainment_2019.svg/revision/latest?cb=20200205194349
