Addendum to the TH-55 story.
[edit]The original welded tube airframe and belt-driven transmission designs are still being used as the core to the Northrop-Grumman Fire Scout unmanned helicopter.(MQ-8B) The engine is a Rolls-Royce (formerly Allison) 250 type engine. The rotor system has been upgraded to four blades. (I thought it was a tribute to Mr. Hughes ingenuity, that his original design has lasted, virtually unchanged, all these years.)Mechnicality (talk) 17:15, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Mech.
