I think this was a good faith edit. I can't see in any of the three sources listed that a (Circle) Inspector is a gazetted officer rather than a non-gazetted officer (The second source, from Kerala Police official website is not available to the public anymore). Is there any state or UT where a (Circle) Inspector is a gazetted officer? I don't think so, but of course I am also not able to find a source saying that.
