[edit]Current consensus is that the "snooping as usual" clip has not had enough notable coverage to merit mention in this article as shown in edit summaries on the article's history. YouTube parodies are neither reliable nor notable sources. Please do not re add it without consensus. GSMR (talk) 18:29, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
It's an internet meme. It's very eye catching to almost every Youtube user and others. 81.157.249.157 (talk) 18:24, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- That doesn't satisfy WP:N guidelines. GSMR (talk) 18:45, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
Internet culture is just as big and as intricate as real-world culture, if not bigger. It has every right to be documented as thoroughly here. And it's only a passing mention, not a full-out article. 50.131.90.224 (talk) 07:14, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
Latin and Hispanic America
[edit]@Onel5969: Hispanic America and Latin America are not the same thing and each one has its own article on Wikipedia. I don't know what "pinga" means in Spanish, but it obviously does not mean the same thing in whole Latin America.--Luizdl Talk 03:44, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- While correct that Hispanic America and Latin America have different meanings, your rationale for changing it to Hispanic America makes absolutely no sense. You say, "I don't know what "pinga" means in Spanish, but it obviously does not mean the same thing in whole Latin America", then restrict the area used to only that which speaks Spanish. Moreover, the reference clearly says that the term is Spanish slang for penis. Finally, while a Spanish word, it has crossed over to Brazil and English speaking areas of Latin America. Unless you have a citation backing up your claim, or until consensus is reached to change it, as per any discussion the status quo should remain. Onel5969 TT me 12:25, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- Finally a talk. OK it's right that this slang meaning of "pinga" is restrict to areas where Spanish is spoken, in this case the best word to reflect this would be "the Americas", it's even more evident considering that Spanish is also spoken in the United States, specially in Florida and New Mexico, there are more Spanish speakers in the United States than in Spain itself, and United States is not in Latin America, but in the Americas.--Luizdl Talk 14:36, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- Please wait for other editors to chime in. As of right now, there definitely is no consensus. I like the last version ("the Americas") better than the completely incorrect "Hispanic America". But in your point above you actually raise an even broader question, is the use of this term limited to only the Americas? Or is it simply a Spanish slang word used throughout every country? Onel5969 TT me 20:09, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- This disambiguation page just says without any sources that "pinga" is a slang in that pointed regions, perhaps we should just say it's a Spanish slang avoiding inaccuracy, or if it is not notorious enough, perhaps we should just remove it.
- About the consensus, surely it is important the have other editors opinion, but it does not seem that someone cares about it, you are the only one that is making a storm in a teacup. "Hispanic America" is not a "completely incorrect" term, this term refers to a geological regions as well as "Latin America", and there is an article about it. But obviously "Americas" fits better for it and comprises the United States, I don't think Mexican slangs would be significantly different than Florida slangs, then "Americas" makes a clear definition, fitting better than both "Latin" and "Hispanic America".--Luizdl Talk 23:40, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- If you simply want to simplify it to Spanish slang, and not mention a geographic area, I'd be cool with that. Onel5969 TT me 01:04, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
- Done.--Luizdl Talk 01:38, 13 May 2016 (UTC)

– No primary topic. If you look at pageview data, the top four are MDMA, Penis, Cachaça, and Pingu. Duckmather (talk) 23:14, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- Support Pinga (disambiguation) → Pinga, paired with Pinga → Pinga (goddess) or, if preferred by consensus, Pinga → Pinga (Inuit goddess). There are 14 entries listed upon the Pinga (disambiguation) page, with little indication that the seven-sentence stub delineating the goddess overwhelms the combined notability of the remaining 13 entries. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:13, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
