Interest rates for sarakin?
[edit]Can we get any more sources for typical interest rates charged for sarakin loans? The Ecconomist example states " 29.2%" but this is a few years ago (2008) and it's also not clearly stated what the interest period is. If per annum, this is a very low cost loan! I'm in the UK. My high street bank credit card would charge more than that. Legal loan sharks in the UK (with major TV advertising) may charge as much as 1,400% p.a. (that is not a typo!) I am surprised to see that a loan away from the shiny-office banking system is still so low.
Should indebted Brits be traveling to Japan to borrow money?! Andy Dingley (talk) 16:00, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
