Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway, AR Metropolitan Statistical AreaCentral Arkansas – This is an attempt combine this page, with what little unique information is at Little Rock-North Little Rock, AR Combined Statistical Area into one useful page that people may actually recognize and hopefully use. For those unfamiliar, a quick search of "regions of Arkansas" on your search engine of choice will show almost every agency or entity uses "Central Arkansas" as a region when subdividing the state (unless describing environmental geography, since Central Arkansas is essentially the combination point). This includes the State of Arkansas itself. This includes the University of Central Arkansas, Central Arkansas Transit Authority, Central Arkansas Water, Central Arkansas Library System, United Way of Central Arkansas, Literacy Action of Central Arkansas, Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, etc etc.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the state's #1 newspaper, is based in Little Rock. Searching for "Central Arkansas" brings up 30k results, where searching for "Little Rock metro" brings 4k results, with "Little Rock Metro Area" bringing 1k results.

KTHV brings similar results; 5k for "Central Arkansas" and 142 for "Little Rock Metro".

The two main population centers in Arkansas are Central Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas. Few identify as living in the "Little Rock metro" and no one identifies with living in the "Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway, AR Metropolitan Statistical Area". The current naming conventions are cumbersome, to say the least, as well as largely being official for the sake of being official. Thanks, and I appreciate all of y'all's consideration.
