Fossil fuel fired power plants
[edit]The coal fired, methane gas fired and other "thermal" combustion based plants seems to be missing. Right now there is only one coal fired plant listed in this article, but in the Frensh article at http://fr.wiki.x.io/wiki/Liste_des_centrales_thermiques_à_flamme_en_France mentions several power stations still in use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.185.52.246 (talk) 16:27, 8 October 2014 (UTC)

Can we add columns for the dates for project financial close, commissioning date (after testing, when it's granted the license to dispatch to the grid and decommissioning date or announcement?
[edit]Shouldn't be too hard to find this info on the public record. some of it is already in the right hand column for some NPPs. WideEyedPupil (talk) 11:26, 22 May 2023 (UTC)

No list of Fossil Gas thermal generation facilities
[edit]In 2021 France burnt fossil gas to make up 430 TWh for 16.6% of the 2,588 TWh of all French power production. Gas plays an important peaking role on the French grid to balance demand and supply when imports/exports and hydro can't do the job. source: https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/energy-consumption-by-source-and-country?stackMode=absolute&country=~FRA
Wikipedia has a very similar table to this one on the French Renewable Energy page… different listings
[edit]Renewable energy in France has a similar table in the Hydroelectric_power section (it defaults to hidden) that is quite similar to this one but it has the two large facilities I just added to this table. It's strange to me that this information double up is occurring. perhaps the Renewable energy in France page is more recent and there is no way to share a data resource like a table between two pages? Perhaps we need a link redirecting people to the newer table on the Renewable energy in France page?
