Absolutely necessary ?
[edit]Is this page really usefull ? It only consists in listing hundreds of university honors and looks like a promotional article. Raoul mishima (talk) 05:36, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- It was necessary to bring up the sourcing quality of the parent article enough for it to be listed under the WP:ITNRD column on the main page. It also meets WP:NLIST as sources often discuss the number of awards he has received. Aaron Liu (talk) 11:35, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
Philosopher ?
[edit]Synthesis
[edit]@Raoul mishima As the person who added that information, I'm sure you know what new conclusion this presents (else why would you add it?). Only counting the Chinese honors separately implies that those are somehow more important than the others, and saying "none were from any Japanese university" implies that Japanese honors would be very important. You imply that there is some sort of illegitimacy in these honors. The example at Synth is exactly like this: an undue count that's synthesized with other things to provide a separate conclusion.
Now, the Onus falls upon you to establish consensus for making this change. As there is no consensus, if you'll excuse me, I'll revert this change. Aaron Liu (talk) 12:35, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
