Joseph Gatto (comedian) → Joe Gatto – No need for a disambiguation as there are no other Joseph Gatto's on WP, and his WP:COMMONNAME is Joe Gatto. Cerebral726 (talk) 15:55, 3 January 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. — Amakuru (talk) 17:32, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
- Opposeish only just created stub, so is this Joe Gatto (artist) also in Books. Not really sure if a primary topic is justified, maybe it is. The artist was minor. But then does the comedian have notability outside his troupe. I guess if he's on TV he must be notable. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:02, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
- To be honest, these individual pages for all The Tenderloins may need to be merged with the comedy group article. It doesn't seem like they have individual notability. Cerebral726 (talk) 19:03, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
- I agree on the previous suggestion about the merger. It would make more sense. --Less Unless (talk) 21:25, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
- Partially implemented Agree Awaiting administrative action ..I originally wrote on Tenderloins/Talk that I saw a need for individual articles about each Tenderloin player; however, after all I guess that I'm ok with the Tenderloins comedy troupe article *or* the article for TRUTV's Impractical Jokers to have a sub section, The Players, then four (4) or more subsections ABOUT each comedian in DETAIL.. e.g. bio, detailed personal life sections, education, specials they have done, books written, etc. What say you all? EDIT: Copying this comment to the Tenderloin/Talk page; hope that isn't vs WP culture! Hugs. From Peter a.k.a. - I agree that the title of the article should be changed to Joe Gatto. On the point that the Jokers don't have enough notability to have their own Wikipedia pages -- you are 100% wrong. Each of the Jokers have more followers than the Impractical Jokers page on Instagram. I just started their pages last night -- there is a ton of more information on the Jokers that I didn't add to the page. Maybe instead of quickly assuming that their pages should be deleted, you guys should look into their backgrounds and actually do some research on them! Lilydog945 (talk) 00:29, 4 January 2020 (UTC).

- @Cerebral726: - As to the Troupe members being involved in more than Impractical Jokers, they do stand-up individual appearances, Comedy Tours, Cruise line shows, a game show recently, and other than Impractical Jokers on TRU-TV there is also a separate behind-the-scenes show for them, hosted by Joey Fatone formerly of the boyband NSYNC. They are proverbially, "kind of a big deal." I do not for the life of me see why there is so much pushback about this TOPIC and heated debate.. (AHEM - Perhaps if the four (4) Tenderloins' lazy (ahem sorry about that) social media staffers and/or their Agents/Representatives/Managers could step in ASAP and beef up the WikiPedia articles it would go a very long way. They must have REAMS and miles of material, archival articles etc to support a much more notable, informative, fact-filled article for each of the four (4) Tenderloins actors/players.) My two cents. --Peter a.k.a. Vid2vid (talk) 21:47, 6 January 2020 (UTC).
- nothing that their PR folks or anyone involved with them have to say is relevant to the article or this discussion. Wikipedia isn’t for them to beef up anything. Praxidicae (talk) 21:55, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
- The fact that they only do all but one of those things as a group (that's why I specifically said Tenderloins/Impractical Jokers, not just Impractical Jokers), and not as individual members, is further indicative of the fact that they do not necessarily required their own articles. Also, what you are suggesting would be an example of WP:COI, and would result in those users being banned. Their lack of notability is not because of our lack of information on them, notability is dependent on individuals of the troupe receiving significant coverage outside of the confines of the comedy troupe. WP:GNG and WP:BLPNOTE are some of the relevant policies here. Regardless, this discussion should be occurring on the deletion discussion page. Cerebral726 (talk) 14:53, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose No indication of primary topic here. As well, one extra click on a dab page, which no parenthetical qualifier which is always nice, is not especially troublesome or onerous to the user. Doug Mehus T·C 17:51, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

I'm on it.
[edit]For my first major Wikipedia edit, I am going to research the life out of Joe Gatto. He is my favorite Joker and I am determined to get enough info to prove this l e g e n d deserves his own Wikipedia article. PurpleBeans13 (talk) 19:49, 29 August 2021 (UTC)PurpleBeans13
- @PurpleBeans13 You could start by establishing why he stepped away from fame and if it was because of intrusive weirdos like you. 146.199.238.75 (talk) 07:48, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

– Per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, per massviews, Joe Gatto (comedian) has more views than the others combined. The Tips of Apmh 15:40, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support Among these topics, the comedian is the overwhelming primary in page views (rounding up to 100 percent!), Google books results, news articles, and general relative notability over the artist and the baseball player. The page view discrepancy is so overwhelming that to choose otherwise would be to intentionally disrupt reader navigation, and we'd need a really strong argument for a discrepancy in the other direction in terms of relative notability, but by those metrics we are coming up with the comedian as well.--Yaksar (let's chat) 19:18, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
