[edit]- There is no Cha Vang article (was it nominated for speedy deletion and deleted?). As of now this article doesn't show any reason why it belongs in an encyclopedia. If it is worthy, I suggest initially creating the article with enough content to justify including it. DraxusD 04:58, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- I prod tagged this page because it still doesn't seem like anything more than news. The Cha Vang article is extremely short. The Chai Soua Vang article has plenty of content but might not be notable enough for an encyclopedia. DraxusD 07:06, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- The article is significant because it relates to tension in the Hmong community in Wisconsin that will have historical importance.Ximota 07:11, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- That's speculation, you need context to support it. DraxusD 07:20, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- Please don't remove the prod tag. State your reasons for disputing it here on the talk page. DraxusD 07:22, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, still getting the hang of this. It said "You may remove the tag"... I thought that meant it was OK.
- On Hmong relations: "The slaying of Green Bay resident Cha Vang in the Peshtigo Harbor Wildlife Area earlier this month was nothing less than an exercise in brutality – and his gruesome murder has brought racial tensions back into the headlines." - http://www.tcdailyplanet.net/node/3574 There are quite a few sources with similar concerns.
- Since I have raised my objection with substantiating information from sources (now added to the article) I am removing the prod notice. As directed by Wikipedia guidelines, I have stated my objection, fixed the article, and can now remove the tag.
- I'm still not convinced it's notable enough to belong here, but you've cited a few sources so I'll drop it. I've added a few tags to help improve the article. DraxusD 09:12, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Orphan?
[edit]Royalbroil, I reverted your removal of the orphan tag. The only pages that link here are user talk pages, a mis-spelling redirect and a disambig page, so it's effectively isolated. Feel free to remove it again and post your reasons here if you still disagree. DraxusD 10:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- The Cha Vang article links to this page through the redirect page. Royalbroil 12:37, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

James Nichols (convicted murderer) → Murder of Cha Vang – Per WP:ONEEVENT, articles about people who are notable for a single event should be re-scoped to cover the event itself. Ibadibam (talk) 23:50, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support. Seems to be a textbook BLP1E. SnowFire (talk) 00:43, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
