In one of the volumes of "Ao Haru Ride" manga, the author revealed that she is not born Sakisaka Io, but she decided to use such pen name (see answers to readers' questions). She chose Sakisaka in particular because she often wanted her family name to start with "Sa".
So, maybe there will be some info in the article that Io Sakisaka is a pen name?

@A pietrachowicz: Almost all manga artists use pen names, just like how almost all voice actors and celebrities use stage names in Japan, so this isn't anything new. We can include the information provided you mention which page and volume it is. lullabying (talk) 08:55, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
