[edit]I am a descendant of George Nicholas. He was actually George Nicholas III, though in his time he was probably just known as George. His uncle was George Jr who died without issue, and his grandfather was George Nicholas the first, known as the immigrant; names can move from uncle to nephew in the event of a lack of issue or name bearing child. I am George Nicholas VIII.

[edit]I expanded this article, but was surprised to see nothing about his Kentucky farm nor slaveholdings on ancestry.com. Also, I used his Virginia slaveholdings from the published volume, which avoids link rot, but which also seems about double that in the reconstructed federal census records for Virginia on ancestry.com. The findagrave entries for this man conflict considerably with the published genealogy I have cited as more reliable. In following the findagrave links, several seem to confuse family members, IMHO. I have not tried to cite the subscription database cited, nor his Kentucky history.Jweaver28 (talk) 23:45, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
