Kang and Fisk pages?
[edit]If characters receive their own pages depending on the scope of their role and impact, aren't Fisk and Kang (+ variants) a little bit overdue? Especially when characters with significantly less presence, like Trevor Slattery and Sharon, seemed to have gotten one? Marc Spector has shown up in just one thing so far, and he's (they) got one. It really does feel like it's well past time for these two as well. 2603:9000:CC0B:A88C:3512:2800:1BDE:96AB (talk) 04:16, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- To limit the spread of WP:FANCRUFT, editors agreed to a threshold of having at least four appearances, a titular role, or being an original character before a character can receive their own article, provided that they have received an adequate amount of commentary from reliable sources. Fisk (Daredevil and Hawkeye) and Kang (Loki and Quantumania) have only appeared in two projects each thus far. But I am willing to grant Kang an exception like Thanos (Marvel Cinematic Universe) if the Jonathan Majors situation settles and he does end up being the Multiverse Saga's "big bad". In any case, both Fisk and Kang have drafts at Draft:Kang (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and Draft:Wilson Fisk (Marvel Cinematic Universe), which you can help improve by adding more commentary and sources. Drafts that consist of mainly plot summaries and little real-world information are unlikely to graduate to the mainspace. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:44, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- I'm...seeing a fair amount of characters that have their own pages not meet that threshold: Trevor Slattery, Grant Ward, Daniel Sousa, MJ... I get it if the pages went up before that consensus was reached, but the history of MJ at the very least indicates her page was created after that consensus. She doesn't meet the three criteria, but there it is. I also noticed with Trevor, Wonder Man is apparently being counted as an appearance, even though it isn't out yet (with some publications even questioning if it'll ever come out). If that is the case, then shouldn't Echo, Born Again, and Kang Dynasty count? 2603:9000:CC0B:A88C:5DAA:1273:4398:EAAD (talk) 06:16, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- It's one or more of the criteria, not all three. InfiniteNexus (talk) 07:01, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- ...MJ didn't meet either. She hasn't been in four projects, she isn't a titular/lead character, and she isn't an MCU original...kind of. I mean, if the argument can be made that she's an MCU original and not an adapted or retooled character, the exact same thing can be said of He Who Remains. They are both extremely loosely adapted characters. Hence if she qualifies, so does he. 2603:9000:CC0B:A88C:5DAA:1273:4398:EAAD (talk) 07:22, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hmm. In any case, Draft:Kang (Marvel Cinematic Universe) as it stands is in no shape to be in the mainspace, so if you'd like to make the case that he should have his own article, please first help expand the draft with real-world information — behind-the-scenes, commentary, reviews, etc. InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:10, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

Liz Allan
[edit]Liz Allan was first confirmed to have the surname Allan in interviews after Spider-Man: Homecoming came out, then onscreen in Spider-Man: No Way Home, where this magazine fills the cinema screen early on: "Liz Allan's Intimate Past With Parker: He's a Liar!" @InfiniteNexus: So Liz should be moved up the page to the "A" section. - This has been the consensus since 2017, so you will have to start a new discussion at Talk:Spider-Man: Homecoming. InfiniteNexus (talk) 19:34, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
Addition of the defenders saga characters
[edit]Now that the defenders saga is officially canon, should be considered the addition of the characters of those series in the list? I leave the topic on the table. Merlyn26 (talk) 06:43, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Defenders, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Runaways, etc. were always canon. The only reason they were excluded from this list was because most of the Marvel Television series already have standalone character pages, e.g. List of Daredevil (TV series) characters. It's also for simplicity and length reasons. There is currently a "Marvel Television" section on the main Characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe page. InfiniteNexus (talk) 07:07, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- I concur with Infinite. It would be unnecessary duplication of content. Trailblazer101 (talk) 08:36, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Well if the problem is duplication, then those lists can be redirected after the content is merged. Regarding the question though, if the new Daredevil series does indeed use characters from the previous series and does not set the Netflix shows in an alt universe (I know they said they aren't, but until I actually see the connection I personally don't believe it), I'd be in support of such a merge. Having scattered parts of plot across different articles is just stupid and makes it harder for readers to actually find information. Gonnym (talk) 10:22, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- It's better to have dedicated lists for the Marvel Television series characters than trying to merge those into this article, thus making it longer than it needs to be. They are already structured in a way that would make it difficult to navigate an excessive amount of content if we were to merge them. As long as there is enough navigation and redirects pointing to the right articles and sections (especially with the sections for returning Daredevil and other Marvel Television characters in Marvel Studios projects, which the main characters lists specifically cover), there should be no issue in readers finding the right information on these characters. We don't want to have these articles becoming too long. Trailblazer101 (talk) 18:13, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Currently a reader trying to find information on Foggy Nelson (Marvel Cinematic Universe) will have a complicated time getting a complete overview of that character. Foggy Nelson#Marvel Cinematic Universe has much more information. However, sending our readers there is admitting that List of Daredevil (TV series) characters failed at its sole purpose (which it does). List of characters articles are good when the series is a self contained unit, not when it's part of a greater franchise with interconnected storylines.
- A list article like this, while long, does exactly what List of Daredevil (TV series) characters fails to do. It presents the entire topic in one location without the reader needing to go look in 2 or more other places (for Foggy that is 4 MCU pages). Gonnym (talk) 21:12, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

Kang’s future
[edit]Kang may be kept according to this article here on CBR. The source for them is via Twitter/X account of Deadline reporter Justin Kroll. Should that be referenced? 0Detail-Attention215 (talk) 18:45, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
