Original Black Panther

[edit]

Hi guys your info is incorect the original black panther was inspired by the phantom writen by Lee Falk and was called the "Swart Luiperd" (Black Panther) was writen by Ahbraham Le Roux Botha under the alias Braam Le Roux in the early 1940 s 105.227.68.5 (talk) 08:13, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting "Other versions"

[edit]

The "Other versions" subheading ought to be mostly removed. Most are not mentioned in any sources outside the comics, and so they are trivia more than anything else; including them gives them disproportionate weight. We should follow the model established in the Iron Man page. Wrangler1981 (talk) 21:44, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Collected editions should be deleted

[edit]

It seems the "Collected editions" section should be deleted. I don't think it's encyclopedic; the other Good Articles, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Iron Man don't have it. Wrangler1981 (talk) 22:43, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Until there is a "List of Black Panther Titles" page, I think removing that section from the page is premature as it becomes lost information. HanzoSteel007 (talk) 21:10, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will leave this for now. However, this is not standard for Good Articles on these topics (see Iron Man and Captain America). I don't believe that Wikipedia has articles on lists of superhero titles. Wrangler1981 (talk) 18:39, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Black Panther's Quest

[edit]

Some time ago I mentioned in the CBR forums that the fifth season of Avengers Assemble felt too much like a Black Panther animated series rather than an Avengers one. Someone who claimed to work in the production of the series replied to me that it was actually the idea, but then there was an internal dispute over releasing it as a Black Panther spin-off series or as a fith season; and finally the "fifth season" team got it their way. The forum is of course not a reliable source, and the guy was not a big name to justify quoting him, but has any of this ever been mentioned in other sources? Ready for Good Article?

[edit]

I think this article is pretty good now, and comparable to other GA like Iron Man and Captain America. I think maybe the biography section could be cleaned up and probably some sources could be improved. If anyone notices anything that needs to be brought up to standards, I can try to work on it. Quick fail. Far too many unsourced paragraphs and sentences.

As you can see you below, the article was quickly rejected because of two many unsourced sentences and paragraphs. This confused me, because I really think we've been pretty assiduous about sourcing. The rejection was done by a bot. It's possible, I think, that the immediate technical rejection is because of the long bibliography section discussed above, which of course has no citations and should not be on Wikipedia. I'm going to come back to this in the future; right now I'm working on another article. We need to figure out how to get this article up to GA standard.
