First of all, I like who u are and what you do. Just to have a serious chance to meet up with you and get some good knowledge on business life itself, would be great 👍 for me and my family. It is what it is, if not. I have a gut feeling says we'll never have that chance, damn, it'd be nice. I used to do thisrap game, but let it go yrs ago to become a contractor for the Trucking industry. Again I like that you actually gave a shit about how you made it happen. From one gutter to another. With RESPECT XORAX.
legal issues?
[edit]I think Birdman and Cash Money's numerous royalty disputes should be included. Starting with Mannie Fresh and Juvenile down too his very high profile disputes with Lil Wayne as of recently. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.125.214.74 (talk) 19:39, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
agreed and there's many more to add, this man gets sued every week. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.151.34.196 (talk) 23:14, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

Agreed, I had previously put reference requests in this section of the article, it used to have more information. It looks like someone decided instead to remove the information without citations entirely. Bassics (talk) 10:22, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
Improvements?
[edit]Since there are no comments in this talk page at all, I'll be the first to suggest one way of improving this article. If there were just more sources linked to the article, that alone would dramatically raise the standards of this article. Wbbigtymer 20:40, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

the picture isn't him
someone has to put this article in sections
"In July 2008, Birdman was arrested for firing a pistol into the air while throwing cash at a party, but the charges were later dropped." - This is not sourced. #16 gives no details of this and when I did a google search I found nothing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.105.104.15 (talk) 23:00, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
I just removed a huge amount of unsourced information from this article. This is the biography of a living person and all information should be reliably sourced. janejellyroll 01:55, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Nice to see that you've confessed to your vandalism. Tom Danson 19:22, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- Pardon me? This article previously included claims that Bryan Williams has a grill in his mouth worth half a million dollars, that he is the "surrogate father" of Lil Wayne, and that he made $80 million from the sales of his special edition Lugz. When I searched, I found no documentation of any of these claims. There was also, more worryingly, accusations of financial misappropriation that were completely unsourced. My removal of material was completely in line with WP:BLP and any editor is welcome to add it back with appropriate sources. I'm not sure why you would assume bad faith of my edits. janejellyroll 00:39, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- It's common knowledge to any fan that's evil slightly familiar with Birdman or Lil Wayne that Birdman is Waynes surrogate father. They get asked about it all the time in interviews, and they have many songs referencing each other as father/son. I realize not sourced information is unideal, but when you delete so much it's considered vandalism, not a constructive edit.Zach6688 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:35, 8 April 2010 (UTC).

I wish everyone here could feel what I feel at this moment. See, I have a vision for this page. That someday it can be a place where people from every corner of the world can come to find out information about Bryan "Baby" Williams. Everything from what his favorite cereal is, to (removed per WP:BLP). I know this can come true eventually if we all work together. What I want to know is how many other people out there are as passionate about it as I am. I think we could take this page further than any other wikipedia entry has ever gone. When people look back on the early days of wikipedia, this could be the entry that sets the standard for just how deeply a person can look into the intricate details of a person's life. If anyone is interested, please join me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.22.81.124 (talk) 05:42, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

"Biography"
[edit]I put the subject in quotes because I only loosely consider this to be a Biography. A bit about an arrest, and his sister's accident, do not a true biography make.
I suggest simply removing the whole thing, filing those arbitrary bits of information under a Trivia section or something.
Thoughts? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lepetiterobot (talk • contribs) 18:20, 2 March 2007 (UTC). recently arrested in tn for smoking pot!!!!
where is all of his info @???
Yeah they left out the part about the signature of his "work." Recommended add: "This rapper makes annoying bird noises throughout the tracks and keeps listeners wondering if this guy is absolutely crazy or stoned. Word." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.98.43.94 (talk) 18:25, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Businessman?
[edit]Yes, he's the business mind behind the whole Cash Money Records. He IS the business mind, heck, he was interviewed for MSNBC's New Black Overclass, his assets are over 400 million, check out MSNBC and Forbes. He also has is own oil business. And it's no accident that when you start writing Bryan W - Bryan Williams (businessman) pops out.
It would seem his business acumen doesn't extend beyond making bird noises. His oil business did provide some crumbs for the wall-street pigeons to pick up though.124.171.60.243 (talk) 12:52, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
Deletion tag
[edit]There is a deletion tag on this article:
- "100 Million" is the second single from Birdman's third studio album, Five Star General. The track features Young Jeezy, Rick Ross & Lil' Wayne, and was produced by Cool & Dre. "100 Million" has already been added on iTunes.
- A video for the song is already in pre-production, and will be released soon.
I moved the information here. Travb (talk) 07:20, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Birth Year?
[edit]The infobox says 200000 but the text of the article says 1963. I don't know which one it actually is, but someone should.--69.143.191.89 (talk) 22:24, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Reference 3
[edit]Reference 3 needs to be fixed. The name of the newspaper is wrong. As I have no idea how to properly edit these pages, I'll leave it to someone else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brian1269 (talk • contribs) 09:53, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
"terry"
[edit]Is there a particular reason the bio box is labeled with a lower case "terry" or is it just something odd? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.170.119.153 (talk) 05:39, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Merged from Birdman (rapper)
[edit]Good merge procedurally. But not sure that this is the better sourced of the two titles? 18x "rapper Birdman" in GB, maybe 1x but from 2002 and probably not the same person. In ictu oculi (talk) 14:11, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
- Completely agree. He is not known for acting or anything like that. Mostly his music career and as a C.E.O. Birdman (rapper) should be the title of the article per WP:TITLE. STATic message me! 22:34, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
