[edit]Sorry, I think that I was reading the Cameron's article, but I'm reading the Brodus Clay's article. Really, I think that the section of her carrer is wrong. I only read about Brodus Clay, Clay matches, Clay feuds... no mention about Andrew. I think that we must delete it. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 17:14, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Requested move (2013)

Ariane Andrew → Cameron (wrestler) – This is her best known name. She hasn't gotten nearly as much exposure on Tough Enough than she has as one of the Funkadactyls. She hasn't done much of note outside of WWE. GeicoHen (talk) 03:39, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support, but a bit personally uncomfortable calling her a wrestler. InedibleHulk (talk) 02:58, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support. per nominator --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 15:25, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support. Or Cameron (wrestling) if she's felt to be a valet foremost and a wrestler second. McPhail (talk) 18:26, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
- Comment. If this page gets moved to Cameron (wrestling), then Ricardo Rodriguez (wrestler) should move to Ricardo Rodriguez (wrestling), since he has been used almost exclusively as a non-wrestler (much more so than Cameron). --GeicoHen (talk) 01:49, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
- Comment No jokes. Cameron is a wrestler. She trained as wrestler and have some matches. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 02:07, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
- Just to be clear, I think Wikipedia should call her a wrestler, even though I wouldn't, off-Wiki. The distinction from wrestlers like Manami Toyota or Davey Boy Smith seems clear to me, but it really is a subjective thing. Setting a precedent like this will just lead to disagreement on others, and chaos. Per HHH, she's performed in a wrestling ring, between bells, so that's close enough. InedibleHulk (talk) 05:00, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
- Yes. We can't call her valet or manager. Maybe, tomorrow she becomes the new Lita or she made as Rosa Mendes, half valet, half wrestler. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 14:12, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

- She has wrestled as Cameron in national TV. Cameron is her common name. Nobody knows Ariane Andrew --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 18:43, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose, her biggest exposure in wrestling has actually come on Total Divas and Tough Enough under her real name, not on Raw or Smackdown as Cameron. Granted, the wrestling shows have a bigger viewership than the reality shows, but she's a featured performer with significant screen time on the reality shows whereas she gets two or three minutes of Raw/Smackdown screen time each week and is not a featured performer. Orphaned references in Cameron (wrestler)
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Cameron (wrestler)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Cameron (wrestler) → Cameron Lynn – this extended form of her name used in WWE is WP:NATDAB and it makes sense to use it instead of (wrestler) which is longer and unneccessary. --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 05:27, 7 July 2015 (UTC) Ranze (talk) 01:00, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

- WP:NATDAB stands for "natural disambiguation". Specifically we are told this:
- If it exists, choose an alternative name that the subject is also commonly called in English reliable sources, albeit not as commonly as the preferred-but-ambiguous title.
- Also per WP:MONONYM:
- Using the last name as the page title for a person, when the first name is also known and used, is discouraged, even if that name would be unambiguous
- She wasn't just called Cameron Lynn on FCW, WWE used her surname (whilst dropping Naomi's) when they brought her to the main show: source "Clay has a unique look and a ton of personality, and he’s a believable butt-kicker who can cut a decent promo. On top of that, his dancers (Naomi and Cameron Lynn) are certainly easy on the eyes" Ranze (talk) 22:18, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
- WP:NATDAB stands for "natural disambiguation". Specifically we are told this:
- Support per the current title being ambiguous to and nothing to do with the likes of https://wrestlecameron.wordpress.com/ - the site came high up a search list.
- per WP:NATURAL "
Natural disambiguation: If it exists, choose an alternative name that the subject is also commonly called in English reliable sources, albeit not as commonly as the preferred-but-ambiguous title.
" - per used titles such as Oprah Winfrey and Johann Sebastian Bach that present a fuller form of name even though no disambiguation is required and as per WP:MONONYM.
- per the theatrical, mock combat of pro wrestling not fitting dictionary and commonname definitions of wrestling. Professional wrestling, as it has been called, is an indisputably successful artform but, as far as definitions of competitive sport go, its not wrestling. GregKaye 06:14, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Cameron Lynn?
[edit]I have no idea why this person has moved this page to Cameron Lynn... Ariane Andrew goes by the ring name of Cameron, regardless of her using the name Cameron Lynn in FCW. MSMRHurricane (talk) 18:54, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
Requested move 12 April 2016

The result of the move request was: Both Moved. This has been passed around in a few RMs now, first at Ariane Andrew, then to Cameron (wrestler), and last year to Cameron Lynn. The consensus here, however, and as far as I can tell from looking around, this is not untrue, is that Cameron (wrestler) is indeed the WP:COMMONNAME, while Cameron Lynn is obscure enough not to be valid for WP:NATURAL. Naomi Knight similarly. — Amakuru (talk) 16:22, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
– Moving Naomi (wrestler) and Cameron (wrestler) to Naomi Knight and Cameron Lynn were absurd decisions, and were only allowed to happen because the discussions had little to no participation. These FCW ringnames are clearly not their common names. The above WP:NATDAB quote of using a more natural common name when available conveniently omitted the very next sentence of "Do not, however, use obscure or made-up names". These names are clearly obscure as absolutely nobody knows them by those surnames. The very few people who watched FCW television and are aware of these surnames will all agree that they aren't common in the least. These names don't only fail being the "most common name", they fail to be common at all. Feedback 06:27, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support - both per nom. Nikki♥311 14:25, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support the surnames qualify as obscure, they used these names for a few months on FCW which had considerably less exposure than NXT does today.LM2000 (talk)
- Support. The current titles obscure to be useful as NATDIS. oknazevad (talk) 16:40, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose These are their actual character names. There's just a tendency in TV to refer to women by their first names only, so WWE goes with that. Daisy Duck is virtually always called plain Daisy, in-universe, but you don't see her at Daisy (cartoon character). Surnames are just the logical next step in disambiguating. If there were two Cameron Lynns, then we'd break out the "(wrestler)". InedibleHulk (talk) 19:09, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- "Natalya (wrestler)" is even worse. Being a Neidhart is her thing, and the commentators make sure we never forget. Good to see Tamina Snuka still counts here. Shame about Charlotte (wrestler). She could learn from Maryse Ouellet. InedibleHulk (talk) 19:15, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- There's no basis for you to say this is their "actual character names". The fact that she portrayed a character named Cameron Lynn on FCW does not mean that's her name on the main roster. Is Sheamus' character's name "Sheamus O'Shaunessy" simply because he used that name in FCW as well? What about the fact that he mentioned in a promo before how he has no last name, just like Christian? Speaking of which, is Christian's character's last name "Cage" just because he used it in TNA? There's no basis for that, we look at the bottom line, which is what's the name that these people are most known by. Those happen to be Cameron, Naomi, Sheamus and Christian. No last names. Tamina is different in that she has used the surname from time to time, and only recently dropped it after her father's murder case was reopened. Feedback 20:42, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- Aye, that's Sheamus O' Shaunessy. I don't think I heard that promo, but if it was a heel one, don't trust it. If he was a face then, it was a bit more believable (presuming he wasn't just pretending to be a good dude), but still just one line against months of FCW origin story. Outweighed. Christian and Christian Cage are from two completely separate universes. In WWE, he's Edge's brother and Edge was unmasked by Matt Freakin' Hardy as millionaire playboy Adam Copeland. So he's probably Christian Copeland there. InedibleHulk (talk) 23:03, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Consensus not to move (non-admin closure) — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 17:50, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Cameron (wrestler) → Cameron Lynn – False rational was given in April to move it. "Lynn" was described as if it were only an FCW name, which is untrue. As can be seen at http://www.wwe.com/inside/ecks-factor-2012-01-13 she was referred to as "Cameron Lynn" in her Raw debut, which means "Lynn" still existed as her surname on the main roster according to WWE.com. Even if WWE begins to act in brevity by omitting surnames later on does not rip them from the character, it still exists as a NATDAB. Also I object to holding a vote to move Naomi's page here, that should have been held separately on Naomi's page. At least in her case there's Night/Knight confusion and some basis for not settling on one or the other. Ranze (talk) 02:00, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose per arguments in last discussion. They barely used these surnames, they're too obscure per WP:NATDAB.LM2000 (talk) 07:42, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:NATDAB Chris "WarMachineWildThing" (talk) 07:51, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
