[edit]Can it really be said that he helped pioneer the Open Core business model, when it's just a new word for an old practice? Andrew Lampitt, who seems to have coined the term, says he was simply articulating what Jaspersoft and other of the more successful commercial open source vendors were doing. I invented nothing, just articulated it[1]?--87.162.0.50 (talk) 20:34, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- I completely agree. I'm not sure I deserve credit for anything "open core" other than employing it as a business model for MindTouch. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AaronRoe (talk • contribs) 20:36, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]I see no evidence that this page has been reviewed for notability. Please establish this here before removing this tag again. Further, the person who removed it appears to be Fulkerson himself. - 114.134.11.1 (talk) 09:35, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- A colleague just pointed out your comment to me. I'm not the only person living in San Diego who reads/edits Wikipedia and knows me. :-) Moreover, when I edit I do so "above the board" with my account and not anonymously. I'm not sure what the process is for notability, but it looks like the guy from NASA removed the "is notable?" header here: http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Aaron_Fulkerson&action=historysubmit&diff=334734409&oldid=334733971 Disclosure: I believe he is a MindTouch customer. /me sniffle sniffle I'm not notable.... ~ AaronF (talk) 20:24, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- It is interesting to note your IP has been smacked by admins for vandalizing Wikipedia pages...hrmm... http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/User_talk:114.134.11.1 —Preceding unsigned comment added by AaronRoe (talk • contribs) 20:35, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Fulkerson is a very notable Executive in Open Source. Not sure if the person adding non-notable tag understands the open source industry. Please fact check before adding notability tag again. Again, please check your facts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cybernerd1999 (talk • contribs) 23:03, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- And you are Mark Fidelman, in his employ, therefore creating a COI. 114.134.11.1 (talk) 23:15, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
