Mahbub Morshed (Bengali: মাহবুব মোর্শেদ) is a Bangladeshi journalist who is the incumbent Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), state-run national news agency of Bangladesh.[1] [2][3][4][5]
Early life and education
[edit]Morshed was born in Rangpur on 29 January 1977 to Md. Showkot Ali and Morsheda Begum. He is known for his work as a journalist, short story writer, and novelist. He obtained his Master of Arts from the Department of Archaeology of Jahangirnagar University.[6]
Career
[edit]He started his journalism career with the Daily Ajker Kagoj as a sub-editor in 2003. He worked for Poriborton.com as Executive Editor. He also worked as the Online In-Charge at The Daily Kaler Kantho and Assistant Editor at The Daily Samakal. Additionally, he served as a Senior Sub-editor at The Daily Prothom Alo and The Daily Jaijaidin. Before joining BSS, he was the Deputy Editor of The Daily Desh Rupantor.[7] He was also involved in Bangla blogging from the beginning. [8][9]
