New page patrol

Great work! I've seen you tag a few articles before I could get to them...keep it up :) Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 00:06, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :). You too. Blair - Speak to me 00:18, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Schools

Blair, please dont jump at people. Remember WP:BITE. The idea is to patiently get them to do it right. I've given some advice there, & it would in my opinion not be right to remove the page until the new user has a chance to read it and understand it & act accordingly; therefore I've declined the speedy as the reviewing admin. DGG (talk) 01:48, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(NB. This discussion comes from my speedying the article Using Film to Teach Literature and assosciated comments on User talk:Jsmira2).
OK, fair enough. The reason I placed the speedy tag again on the second incarnation of the page was because I was under the impression it was still intended to be a course content page. However, in hindsight this was a bit hasty. Thanks for clearing that up and helping the user to follow the proper procedures. Having seen the real intentions, it now has my full support.

Dicdefs aren't covered by CSD

Godverdomme 10:57, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've proposed it for AfD instead. And, as a side note, please don't remove speedy tags yourself (as you did with both Godverdomme [1] and Tammo Tachtig [2]. Instead use the {{hangon}} template to notify administrators you are contesting the speedy delete, and then place your reasoning on the articles talk page.
Thanks, Blair - Speak to me 11:19, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I removed the {{db-nocontext}} tag you placed on Chic Bates and clarified and categorised the article. Hope this is OK. CIreland 09:37, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thats fine, thanks for doing so. I've since updated the page a bit with a bit more detail re his managerial spells and an infobox. Blair - Speak to me 10:35, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No... you are misunderstood. I got permission via e-mail to use some of his bio on Wikipedia. Sean90 19:48, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good start, but you need to forward it to the Wikimedia foundation as outlined in WP:COPYREQ. This will allow them to tag the article appropriately so that it won't be deleted again.

Mr.Getcrunk

I have been a great fan of Mr.getcrunk for years.. And i clearly don't see anything wrong with the page i made for him, i don't know why you want to delete my page when it is sincere and true and there are all kinds of pages with perverted things on them that you can delete. I think that this is unfair and i will continue to debate and recreate my page until me and wikipedia come to an agreement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rasheewest (talkcontribs) 04:39, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the notability policy that Wikipedia has. As a warning, if you continue to recreate the page the most likely outcome is that you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

My talk page

Its no problem, but do you notice anything else different about your user talk page? :).--KerotanLeave Me a Message Have a nice day :) 05:24, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know why you nominated my wiki about my production company. we have a small fan base and the were wondering why we did not have a wiki. so we decided to create one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Superfryman (talkcontribs) 01:03, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I nominated it for speedy deletion under criteria A7 (it was an article about a company that did not assert the notability of said company). I can't say much more than Mr.Z-man (the admin who deleted the article) did. Blair - Speak to me 03:31, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

well here is a list of 63 people who say Echo 429 productions does in fact exist http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Image:Sig1.jpg and http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Image:Sig2.jpg Superfryman 22:13, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't doubt that it existed. The reason it was deleted was because it doesn't meet the notability criteria; existence does not equal notability. Again, Mr.Z-man has said it better than I could have at the deletion review.

dude, you are the lone voice of reason, among Wikipedia editors, in what has turned out to be a raging battle to get faceosphere it's entry into Wikipedia. Markmayhew 09:54, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Portugal's Next Top Model

hey blair, deleted PoNTM cycle 4 article's text...you may want to delete the entire article itself...even though it was hilarious Stopme 07:25, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've tagged it for deletion, an administrator will delete it shortly. Hilarious or not (and that is subjective) it was not suitable for inclusion in an encyclopedia. Blair - Speak to me 07:28, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
