Georg von Bismarck (15 February 1891 – 31 August 1942) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded several panzer divisions. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Georg von Bismarck was killed by mortar fire near El Alamein on 31 August 1942. He was posthumously promoted to Generalleutnant.
