Object history
Deutsch: Die drei schmalen schwarzen Balken sind vom Familienwappen der Baierbrunner übernommen, die dem altbayerischen Adel angehörten und seit dem 12. Jahrhundert ihren Stammsitz in Baierbrunn hatten. Das Zinnenschildhaupt symbolisiert die Burg auf der Konradshöhe, benannt nach Konrad von Baierbrunn, der in der Schlacht von Mühldorf (1322) eine wichtige Rolle als kaiserlicher Feldhauptmann spielte; mit ihm starb die Familie 1333 aus. Die Burg war Mittelpunkt der Hofmark Baierbrunn, die nach 1333 an die Wittelsbacher überging. Seit 1670 befand sich die Hofmark im Besitz des Klosters Schäftlarn. Die Farben Silber und Blau verweisen auf die alten Verbindungen zwischen Baierbrunn und dem bayerischen Herzogshaus.
