Description
English: Virginia Argus and Hampshire Advertiser Volume III Number XIII published in Romney, Virginia (now West Virginia on Thursday, October 7, 1852. This is a digital image of the newspaper's front page, above the fold. As is indicated in the signature at the top of the page, this issue was likely owned by Charles James Faulkner, a member of the United States House of Representatives from Virginia's 8th congressional district. Faulkner later served as the United States Minister to France, and again as a member of the United States House of Representatives from West Virginia's 2nd congressional district.
