Summary

Description
English: The lands of the Priory were transferred to private ownership following its dissolution in 1540. The blockhouse seen here was constructed to guard the approach to Trim from Newtown Bridge. This image was taken from a surviving turret, which would have formed part of a wall enclosing the site.
