English: Tower Ramparts and St. Mary-le-Tower The bus station with Saturday shoppers. The little girl in the foreground appears to be doing her best dalek impression, though it's unlikely she will exterminate the bus. The view of the church in the background is now obscured by Tower Ramparts shopping centre. There appears to have been a market on this site when the photo was taken. The bus shelter for the 2a route carries the legend Airport, a piece of history in itself as Ipswich airport closed in the mid 1990's. The bus is Ipswich Borough Transport no. 98 (registration TRT 98M), a Leyland Atlantean AN68/1R built 1974 with H43/29D bodywork by Charles H. Roe
