The 16 by 3 all-iron overshot waterwheel was rescued and brought from Coombeland, a farm to the north of Knighthayes Court, and was re-erected at the museum by Mr Batting of Widhayes in 1976. It was cast by Nott & Cornish of Lowman Works, Chapel Street, Tiverton at some time before 1892
